Abstract
Air transportation has a strategic position in the context of its role and contribution in national development. One important component in the development and improvement of service quality in air transportation is the development of performance and airport development. An airport system planning is an embodiment of aviation facilities needed to meet the current and future needs of a metropolitan area, region or country (Horonjeff & McKelvey, 2010). Kangean Airport is located on Kangean Island and is one of the islands in the administrative region of Sumenep Regency. This airport will serve flights within Country. This study intends to plan the runway pavement thickness and analyze the strength of the existing pavement carrying capacity based on existing data in accordance with the FAA method. Calculating the design of the runway pavement thickness of the Kangean-Madura Airport with a method using FAARFIELD software, evaluating runway capability in supporting plan aircraft loads, pavement carrying capacity using manual calculation methods, using the COMFAA program method performed with the help of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. can be concluded as follows In these calculations using the 78 cm FAARFIELD software, the length of the runway correction is pavement 2819.11 m, the width of the runway 45 m, the carrying capacity of the pavement STA 0-1600 m has the PCN code 39 F / C / Y / T using the method of manual calculation, STA pavement 1600-2829 m has PCN code 29 F / C / X / T using the COMFAA program method. Transportasi udara mempunyai kedudukan yang cukup strategis dalam konteks peran dan sumbangannya dalam pembangunan nasional. Salah satu komponen penting dalam pengembangan dan peningkatan kualitas pelayanan pada transportasi udara adalah pengembangan kinerja dan pembangunan bandar udara. Suatu perencanaan sistem bandar udara adalah perwujudan fasilitas penerbangan yang dibutuhkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan-kebutuhan saat ini dan masa yang akan datang dari suatu daerah metropolitan, wilayah atau Negara (Horonjeff & McKelvey, 2010). Bandar Udara Kangean ini terletak di Pulau Kangean ini merupakan salah satu pulau di wilayah administratif Kabupaten Sumenep. Bandara ini akan melayani penerbangan dalam Negri. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk merencanakan tebal perkerasan landasan pacu (runway) dan menganalisis kekuatan daya dukung perkerasan eksisting berdasarkan data yang ada sesuai dengan metoda FAA. Menghitung desain tebal perkerasan landasan pacu Bandar Udara Kangean -Madura denganmetode dengan menggunakan software FAARFIELD, Mengevaluasi kemampuan runway dalam mendukung beban pesawat rencana, Daya dukung perkerasan mengunakan metode Perhitungan manual, mengunakan metode program COMFAA dilakukan dengan bantuan spreadsheet Microsoft Excel dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut Pada perhitungan tersebut menggunkan software FAARFIELD 78 cm , Panjang Runway koreksi adalah pavement 2819.11 m , Lebar Runway 45 m , Daya dukung perkerasan STA 0 – 1600 m mempunyai kode PCN 39 F/C/Y/T mengunakan metode Perhitungan manual , perkerasan STA 1600-2829 m mempunyai kode PCN 29 F/C/X/T mengunakan metode program COMFAA Kata kunci : Tebal perkerasan Lentur , Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) , Runway , Bandara Kangean , Daya dukung , FAARFIELD , PCN , Landasan Runway Koreksi
