Abstract
Work from Home (WFH) is currently a popular term on social media. The appeal is related to efforts to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak. Against this background, the researcher conducted a study to see how reciprocal communication between superiors and subordinates occurs and how obstacles occur when working from home at PT Indonesia Comnets Plus (ICON+). This study uses the Post-Positive Paradigm and uses the Case Study method with a qualitative descriptive approach and research data obtained from interviews and observations and documentation. The research location was carried out at ICON+ in the Jakarta area. Managers and VPs are classified as superiors, while officers and staff are classified as subordinates The results showed that the reciprocal communication between superiors and subordinates was dominated by using the written method. Communication barriers that occur between superiors and subordinates at ICON+ include semantic disruption, structural disruption and behavioral disruption. The research findings say that the biggest obstacle experienced by superiors and subordinates at ICON+ is the frame of mind barrier, namely the difference in perception when the communication process occurs between superiors and subordinates. The overall communication barrier is more often experienced by subordinates than superiors. Keywords: Work From Home, Communication Organization, Communication Barrier Work from Home (WFH) saat ini menjadi salah satu istilah populer di media sosial. Himbauan tersebut terkait dengan upaya untuk mengurangi penyebaran wabah Covid-19. Dilatar belakangi oleh hal tersebut, peneliti melakukan penelitian untuk melihat bagaimana komunikasi timbal balik atasan bawahan dan bagaimana hambatan yang terjadi pada saat work from home di PT Indonesia Connets Plus (ICON+). Penelitian ini menggunakan Paradigma Post Positivist dan menggunakan metode Studi Kasus (Single Case Study) dengan Pendekatan Deskritif Kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian di lakukan di ICON+ wilayah Jakarta. Manager dan VP diklasifikasi sebagai atasan sedangkan officer dan staff di klasifikasikan sebagai bawahan Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi timbal balik atasan dan bawahan di dominasi dengan menggunakan metode tulisan. Hambatan komunikasi yang terjadi antara atasan dengan bawahan di ICON+ diantaranya adalah adanya gangguan semantik, gangguan struktur dan ganguan perilaku. Hambatan terbesar yang dialami atasan dan bawahan di ICON+ adalah hambatan kerangka berpikir, yaitu adanya perbedaan persepsi ketika proses komunikasi terjadi antara atasan dengan bawahan. Hambatan komunikasi tersebut secara keseluruhan lebih sering dialami oleh bawahan dibandingkan atasan. Kata Kunci: Work From Home, Komunikasi Organisasi, Hambatan Komunikasi
