Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought enormous changes to the organization, especially in maintaining the company's reputation. One of the companies most affected by this pandemic is an event organizer service company which is quite disturbed due to a reduction in activities that take place during the pandemic. The focus of this research is how the form of communication changes, especially in crisis communication management from EO companies when facing the COVID- 19 pandemic by using 3 companies as informants in Medan, Jakarta, and Solo. This study uses a constructivist paradigm with case study research methods and a qualitative approach referring to the theory of change. Data was collected by interviewing owners, employees, and partners using the snowball sampling method. In this study, it was found that four types determine the success or failure of crisis management efforts, namely leadership communication, creative communication patterns, innovation, and strengthening internal cohesion. Keywords : Management, Crisis Communication, Event Organizer, Pandemic COVID-19 Pandemi COVID-19 membawa dampak perubahan yang sangat besar terhadap organisasi terutama dalam mempertahankan reputasi perusahaan. Salah satu perusahaan yang banyak terdampak karena adanya pandemi ini adalah perusahaan jasa event organizer yang dimana cukup terganggu karena adanya pengurangan aktivitas yang berlangsung di masa pandemi. Fokus penelitian ini adalah bagaimana bentuk komunikasi perubahan khususnya dalam manajemen komunikasi krisis dari perusahaan EO saat menghadapi pandemi COVID-19 dengan menggunakan 3 perusahaan sebagai informan yang ada di Medan, Jakarta dan Solo. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivis dengan metode penelitian studi kasus dan pendekatan kualitatif mengacu pada teori perubahan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mewawancarai pemilik, karyawan dan partner dengan metode snowball sampling. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan, ada empat tipikasi yang menentukan berhasil atau tidaknya upaya manajemen krisis yaitu leadership communication, pola komunikasi kreatif, inovasi dan penguatan kohesi internal.
