Abstract

At a lot of times, Public Relations Practicion has been slapped by wrong perseptions about the profession, those who said that being a Public Realtions relay on your perfect physical beings without having any competible competention behind it. The aim of this research are to expose the existence of Dramaturgy on Public Relations’s practicion on having their role and functiong done witouth forgetting about the Code of Conduct of PERHUMAS and the universal human rights of PBB, so that the public can actually judge it right on being a Public Relations is not that easy and that is no joke. Researcher, using the kualitatif method with Construktivism paradigm, serving the data descriptionally. The result conduct that there is a dramaturgcal matter in Public Relations’s way of doing their role and function as there is a back stage and front stage, but that is not anything bad as they kept doing their profession on according the code of conduct of PERHUMAS and not discriminating any universal human right of PBB. Keywords : Dramaturgy, Public Relations, Public Relations’s role and function, Public Relations’s Code of Conduct. Praktisi Public Relations sering diterjang persepsi yang keliru dari masyarakat dimana profesi tersebut sekedar menjual omongan untuk menaikkan citra perusahaan dengan mengandalkan fisik yang sempurna, tanpa harus memiliki kompetensi tertentu di belakangnya. Dalam penelitian ini, tujuan peneliti adalah untuk mengungkap keberadaan unsur Dramaturgi pada praktisi Public Relations dalam menjalankan fungsi dan perannya dan dalam menaati kode etik PR PERHUMAS serta Hak-Hak Universal Manusia yang ditetapkan oleh PBB, agar masyarakat dapat menilai bahwa menjadi seorang Public Relations tidaklah sembarangan. Peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktivisme dan menyajikan data secara deksriptif. Hasil penelitian mengungkap bahwa terdapat unsur Dramaturgi dalam kegiatan praktisi PR menjalankan Fungsi dan perannya terdapat panggugn depan dan panggung belakang, namun hal tersebut bukan hal yang buruk kerena mereka tetap menjalankan profesinya sesuai dengan kode etik dan didalam jalur menaati hak-hak universal manusia PBB. Kata Kunci: Dramaturgi, Public Relations, Fungsi dan Peran PR, Kode Etik PR.
