Abstract

Hydroponics is one of the methods of urban farming, which is a method of planting without using soil media but by using nutritious mineral solutions or other materials containing nutrients such as coconut fiber, mineral fiber, sand, brick fragments, wood powder and others as a substitute for soil media. Hydroponic nutrition distribution system combines agriculture with mechatronics. With the mechatronics control of the hydroponic nutrition distribution system can be controlled with other devices such as smartphones that can be done through wireless communication such as Bluetooth, Wifi modules (ESP8266) and others. The concept of control wirelessly can be applied to agriculture both conventional agriculture (soil media) and hydroponic agriculture. So that the monitoring process of plant nutrition can be done in real time. In this final project, we will design and build a prototype system based on the needs of hydroponic plants using communication from Arduino NodeMCU. Based on the test results, the average error percentage of the TDS sensor is 0.783% while the average error percentage of the HC SR04 sensor is 5.76%. While for testing communication data, the delay time for sending data from the serial monitor to the android application is an average of 2.8 seconds. Keywords: Hydroponics, NodeMCU, TDS Sensor, HC SR04, Internet of Things Hidroponik merupakan salah satu metode urban farming, yaitu suatu metode cocok tanam tanpa menggunakan media tanah (soiless) melainkan dengan menggunakan larutan mineral bernutrisi atau bahan lainnya yang mengandung unsur hara seperti sabut kelapa, serat mineral, pasir, pecahan batu bata, serbuk kayu dan lain-lain sebagai pengganti media tanah. Sistem penyaluran nutrisi hidroponik menggabungkan antara ilmu agriculture dengan mekatronika. Dengan mekatronika kontrol sistem penyaluran nutrisi hidroponik dapat di kontrol dengan perangkat lain seperti Smartphone yang dapat dilakukan melalui komunikasi wireless seperti Bluetooth, modul Wifi (ESP8266) dan lain-lain. Konsep kontrol secara wireless bisa diterapkan pada pertanian baik pertanian konvensional (media tanah) maupun pertanian hidroponik. Agar proses monitoring pemberian nutrisi tanaman dapat dilakukan secara real time. Pada tugas akhir ini akan merancang dan membangun sebuah sistem prototipe berdasarkan kebutuhan tanaman hidroponik menggunakan komunikasi dari Arduino NodeMCU. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, persentase kesalahan rata – rata sensor TDS adalah 0,783 % sedangkan persentase kesalahan rata – rata sensor HC SR04 adalah 5,76 %. Sementara untuk pengujian komunikasi data didapatkan waktu delay pengiriman data dari serial monitor ke aplikasi android rata- rata sebesar 2,8 detik.
