Abstract
Wiring Harness is an in-vehicle component consisting of a group of cables that serve as a circuit that conducts electrical current to a vehicle. As one of the companies in the wiring sector, PT. Subang Autocomp Indonesia (PT. SUAI) also has problems in quality control efforts caused by the use of manpower (humans) in the production process so it is difficult to control the quality of products. This study aims to analyze the types of defects and causal factors that occur in the production process and provide suggestions for improvement to reduce and prevent defects in the process of producing wiring cables. The method used in this study is Failure Mode Effect and Analysis (FMEA) with some quality tools such as Pareto diagram, fish bone diagram, P control chart and 5W + 1H. Based on the results of Pareto diagram analysis, P control chart and fish bone diagram found 2 highest defects, namely cross circuit and incorrect dimensions with 4 causes of defects with the highest RPN value, ie dimensions on jig board are not suitable because the clip holder is loose / shifted (RPN 384), the clip assembly process does not use the handle because the operator does not comply with the process standards (RPN 336), sakihame drawing is damaged due to no periodic prevention (RPN 256), many similar circuits due to placing similar circuits nearby (RPN 224). The recommendations obtained to solve this problem are based on 5W + 1H, that is, make preventive scheduling and periodic repairs, schedule operator training on process standards, add navigation programs, and deliver similar circuit placements. Keywords: Wiring Harness Defect, Pareto, Fishbone, FMEA, 5W + 1H Wiring Harness merupakan suatu komponen dalam kendaraan yang terdiri dari kumpulan kabel yang berfungsi sebagai rangkaian penghantar arus listrik pada kendaraan. Sebagai salah satu perusahaan di bidang wiring harness PT. Subang Autocomp Indonesia (PT. SUAI) juga mengalami masalah dalam upaya pengendalian kualitas yang diakibatkan penggunaan tenaga manusia (man) dalam proses produksi membuat sulitnya mengkontrol kualitas pada produk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis jenis defect dan faktor penyebab yang terjadi pada proses produksi serta memberikan usulan perbaikan untuk mengurangi dan mencegah defect pada proses produksi wiring harness. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Failure Mode Effect and Analysis (FMEA) dengan beberapa tools quality seperti diagram pareto, fishbone diagram, peta kendali P dan 5W+1H. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diagram pareto, peta kendali P dan fishbone diagram ditemukan 2 defect tertinggi yaitu cross circuit dan wrong dimension dengan 4 penyebab defect yang memiliki nilai RPN tertinggi yaitu dimensi pada jigboard tidak sesuai disebabkan oleh holder clip kendor/bergeser (RPN 384), proses pemasangan clip tidak menggunakan holder disebabkan oleh operator tidak mematuhi standar proses (RPN 336), drawing sakihame rusak disebabkan oleh tidak dilakukan preventif secara berkala (RPN 256), banyak similar circuit disebabkan oleh penempatan similar circuit secara berdekatan (RPN 224). Usulan yang didapatkan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut berdasarkan 5W+1H yaitu, membuat penjadwalan preventif dan perbaikan secara berkala, membuat penjadwalan training operator mengenai standar proses, menambahkan program navigasi, dan relayout penempatan similar circuit.
