Abstract
PT. XYZ is a medium-sized industrial company engaged in the catering sector, more specifically producing wet cakes in the form of minipao, and various snacks. Companies are also required to maintain the quality of their products in order to remain competitive with other manufacturers by minimizing the manufacture of reject products. In the production process there are still quite a lot of defects produced, the type of defect produced consists of 4 types. The purpose of this study was to find out the type of dominant defect and find out the cause of the defect using the DMAIC method (Define, Method, Analyze, Improve, Control) on six sigma. The results of the data processing will produce a proposal and a solution to the improvement and control process afar the results of the refinement can improve product quality and provide a benefit for the company. Keywords: Quality, Production, Minipao, Defect, Six Sigma, DMAIC PT. XYZ merupakan perusahaan industri menengah yang bergerak di bidang tata boga lebih spesifiknya memproduksi kue basah berupa minipao, dan aneka snacks. Perusahaan juga dituntut untuk menjaga kualitas produknya agar tetap bersaing dengan produsen lainnya dengan cara meminimalisir pembuatan produk yang reject. Dalam proses produksi masih terdapat defect cukup banyak yang dihasilkan, jenis defect yang dihasilkan terdiri dari 4 macam. Tujuan penelitian ini guna mencari tahu jenis defect dominan dan mengetahui penyebab terjadinya defect dengan menggunakan metode DMAIC (Define, Method, Analyze, Improve, Control) pada six sigma. Hasil dari pengolahan data tersebut akan menghasilkan suatu usulan dan solusi perbaikan serta proses control afar hasil dari perbaikan bias meningkatkan kualitas produk dan memberikan suatu keuntungan bagi perusahaan.
