Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the mediating effects of Job Satisfaction on the influences of Job Insecurity and Compensation on Employee Performance. This research was conducted from September to November 2019. The subjects of this study were employees at PT Rajawali Nusindo Head Office, Jakarta. As many as 144 respondents from population of 224 employees were taken by using Slovin's formula with 5% error margin. The sampling technique used was quota sampling. Data were analyzed by using path analysis software SmartPLS 3.2.8. The results showed that Job Insecurity had a significant but negative influence on Employee Performance. Compensation had a significant and positive influence on Employee Performance. The direct effect of Job Insecurity on Employee Performance is smaller than its indirect effect; on the other hand, the direct effect of Compensation on Employee Performance is bigger than its indirect effect. It can be concluded that Job Satisfaction has mediated the influences of Job Insecurity and Compensation to Employee Performance. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis peran mediasi Kepuasan Kerja terhadap pengaruh Job Insecurity dan Kompensasi terhadap Kinerja karyawan. Subyek penelitian ini adalah karyawan pada Kantor Pusat PT Rajawali Nusindo, Jakarta. Penelitian ini dilakukan dari September sampai dengan November 2019. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah quota sampling. Jumlah sampel diambil dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin dari total populasi 224 karyawan dengan toleransi kesalahan 5%. Sebanyak 144 responden mengisi kuesioner. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan pendekatan analisis jalur dengan bantuan software SmartPLS version 3.2.8 for Windows. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Job Insecurity memiliki pengaruh negatif, namun signifikan terhadap Kinerja karyawan. Kompensasi memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kinerja karyawan. Pengaruh langsung Job Insecurity terhadap Kinerja karyawan lebih kecil daripada pengaruh tidak langsungnya. Sebaliknya, pengaruh langsung Kompensasi terhadap Kinerja karyawan lebih besar daripada pengaruh tidak langsungnya. Dapat disimpulkan, Kepuasan Kerja memediasi pengaruh pada kedua variabel Job Insecurity dan Kompensasi terhadap Kinerja karyawan.
