Abstract
This study aims to analyze whether employee engagement mediates the effect of employee competence and employee innovative behavior on employee performance at PT Tetra Pak Indonesia. The population of this study is a saturated sample of all service engineer employees, with a total sample of 76 service engineers. The method used is a survey that is through distributing questionnaires and for data analysis using the Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square (SEM PLS). The results showed that competence had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, competence had a positive and significant effect on employee engagement, innovative behavior had no significant effect on employee performance, innovative behavior had a positive and significant effect on employee engagement, employee engagement had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. , employee engagement positively mediates the influence of competence and innovative behavior on performance. The variable with the greatest influence on employee performance is the competency variable. It is recommended that the management of PT Tetra Pak Indonesia understand and implement the importance of maintaining politeness and listening to complaints against clients, supported by appropriate competency skills for each engineer. Keywords: Competence, Innovative Behavior, Employee Engagement, and Employee Performance Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis employee engagement karyawan memediasi pengaruh kompetensi karyawan dan perilaku inovatif karyawan terhadap kinerja karyawan PT Tetra Pak Indonesia. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah sampel jenuh pada seluruh karyawan service engineer, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 76 service engineer. Metode yang digunakan adalah menggunakan survey yaitu melalui penyebaran kuesioner dan untuk analisis data menggunakan Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square (SEM PLS). Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa kompetensi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, kompetensi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap employee engagement, perilaku inovatif tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, perilaku inovatif berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap employee engagement, employee engagement berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, employee engagement secara positif memediasi pengaruh kompetensi dan perilaku inovatif terhadap kinerja. Variabel yang paling besar pengaruhnya terhadap kinerja karyawan adalah variabel kompetensi. Disarankan pada manajemen PT Tetra Pak Indonesia agar mengerti dan menerapkan pentingnya menjaga kesopanan dan mendengarkan keluhan terhadap klien, ditunjang dengan skill kompetensi yang sesuai pada setiap engineer.
