Abstract

This study intended to know the percentage about self efficacy and coping stress on 12th grade students of SMK X in facing National Exam. This study is a description quantitative study using questionnaires as a measurement. Instruments used in this research based on theory self efficacy from Albert Bandura and theory coping stress Lazarus and Folkman. The result showed that the class XII students of SMK X Jakarta about 57 students (59.4%) with dominant average self efficacy. The result showed that student with high self efficacy using high coping stress with problem focused coping. And there was a positive significant correlation between self efficacy and coping stress (r = 0.766; p = 0.000) which led to a conclusion that positive correlation between self efficacy and coping stress. Keywords : self efficacy, coping stress, national exam, 12th grade students Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jumlah persentase variabel self efficacy dan coping stress siswa kelas XII dalam menghadapi UN SMK X di Jakarta Timur. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner. Instrumen yang digunakan disusun berdasarkan teori self efficacy Albert Bandura dan teori coping stress Lazarus dan Folkman. Pada penelitian ini diperoleh hasil bahwa siswa kelas XII SMK X di Jakarta Timur lebih dominan siswa kategori self efficacy sedang sebanyak 57 siswa (59.4%). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa responden yang memiliki self efficacy tinggi juga memiliki coping stress kategori tinggi, dengan cenderung menggunakan problem focused coping. Terdapat hubungan positif antara self efficacy dengan coping stress dengan nilai uji korelasi 0.766 (Spearman’s Rho), dan signifikansi 0.000 < 0.5 yang menunjukan hubungan yang positif dan signifikan.
