Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the direct and indirect effects of employee Job Stress and Career Development as mediated by Employee Engagement on employee Turnover Intention at PT PKSS. This research uses a quantitative approach with a saturated sample of 98 employees at PT PKSS. The data are analyzed by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) by the help of SmartPLS software version 3.2.7 for Windows. The results of this study show that employee Job stress has a positive and significant effect on employee Turnover intention; employee Career Development has a negative, but significant effect on employee Turnover Intention. Meanwhile, the indirect effects of employee Job stress and Career Development on employee Turnover intention as mediated by Employee Engagement are much smaller than their direct effects; therefore, there is small mediating role of Employee Engagement. Keywords: Career Development, Work Stress, Employee Engagement, Turnover Intention Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis efek langsung dan tidak langsung dari Stres Kerja dan Pengembangan Karir karyawan, yang dimediasi oleh Employee Engagement pada Turnover Intention karyawan di PT PKSS. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan sampel jenuh 98 karyawan PT PKSS. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SmartPLS 3.2.7 untuk Windows. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa stres kerja karyawan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Turnover Intention karyawan; Pengembangan Karir karyawan memiliki pengaruh negatif, tetapi signifikan terhadap niat turnover karyawan. Sementara itu, pengaruh tidak langsung Stres Kerja karyawan dan Pengembangan Karir terhadap Turnover Intention karyawan, sebagaimana dimediasi oleh Employee Engagement, jauh lebih kecil dari pengaruh langsung mereka; oleh karena itu terdapat peran yang tidak besar dari mediasi Employee Engagement.
