Abstract

One area that has increased is Cimone Village, Karawaci District which has a population of 172,525 people, around 8.24% of the total population of Tangerang City. One of them is at the intersection of 4 arms connecting Jl. Raya Merdeka and Jl. Gatot Subroto, where the condition of the intersection at peak hours (peak hours) had a solid queue, causing traffic jams. The high volume of vehicles is one of the factors causing congestion. The research method used is in accordance with the provisions of the Road Capacity Manual Indonesia (MKJI) 1997. For primary data collection, namely by conducting a survey the field is in the form of road geometric data, vehicle volume, and traffic signal time. The results of the existing data analysis, obtained Level Of Service (LOS) F, which means that the delay value is high and shows a long cycle time. There are two alternative problem solving methods used in the research, namely alternative solutions to problems with changes in traffic light cycle times and prohibitions on heavy vehicles passing during peak hours . From the alternative, it turns out that it can change the level of service to be quite good than before Keywords: MKJI, Signalized Intersection, Roads, Level Of Service, Signalized Intersection Performance and Roads. Salah satu daerah yang mengalami peningkatan adalah Kelurahan Cimone, Kecamatan Karawaci yang memiliki jumlah penduduk 172.525 jiwa, sekitar 8,24% dari jumlah penduduk total Kota Tangerang. Salah satunya pada persimpangan 4 lengan yang menghubungkan Jl. Raya Merdeka dan Jl. Gatot Subroto, dimana kondisi simpang tersebut pada jam sibuk (peak hours) mengalami antrian yang padat sehingga terjadi kemacetan lalu lintas. Tingginya volume kendaraan merupakan salah satu faktor penyebab kemacetan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan sesuai dengan ketentuan Manual Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (MKJI) 1997. Untuk pengumpulan data primer yaitu dengan melakukan survey lapangan berupa data geometrik jalan, volume kendaraan, serta waktu sinyal lalu lintas. Hasil analisis data eksisting, didapatkan Level Of Service (LOS) F yang berarti nilai tundaan yang tinggi dan menunjukan waktu siklus yang panjang. Terdapat dua alternatif pemecahan masalah yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu alternatif pemecahan masalah dengan perubahan waktu siklus lampu lalu lintas dan larangan kendaraan berat melintas pada jam sibuk. Dari alternatif tersebut ternyata bisa merubah level of service menjadi cukup baik dari sebelumnya Kata kunci : MKJI, Simpang Bersinyal, Ruas Jalan, Level Of Service, Kinerja Simpang Bersinyal dan Ruas Jalan.
