Abstract

Indonesian urban communities are now starting to release news through newspapers to online news. This is the finding of research conducted by the global research institute GfK, and the Indonesian Digital Association (IDA). Based on research conducted in five major cities in Indonesia throughout 2015, the percentage of online news consumption reached 96 percent. The highest value compared to the consumption of news through television was 91 percent, newspapers were 31 percent and radio was 15 percent. Of the total respondents of 1,521 panels, online news read data was received by the age group of 20 to 42 years. The favorite time to consume is news from 12.00-15.00 WIB on Monday to Friday. While on Saturday the peak consumption of news was at 12.00-18.00 WIB. On Sunday, the peak consumption of news is at a longer vulnerable time, which is between 12.00 and 21.00 WIB. To meet the increasing consumption needs of online news, in Indonesia there are many media that currently carry the concept of online-based. Related information is of course started from the community regarding the latest information around it. Because modern society really needs actual information in real time. Seeing the high phenomenon of online media readers in Indonesia based on data from Alexa.com, the authors are interested in making online media more different from other online media in Indonesia. Firar.id tries to become its own color by providing good news and inspiring readers and also preaching in terms of development and discussing important issues to be discussed and given a solution. In general, Firar.id has a significant development at the beginning of its construction. Based on data from the initial creation in April 2018, around 100 visitors saw Firar.id website and social media for each visitor. Website visibility is increasing and visitors not only come from within the country but also come from abroad. However, seeing data from Firar.id online media still requires the existence of Monitoring and Evaluation and Search Engine Optimization to increase the number of visitors and improve the quality of news content that will make visitors aware of Firar.id online media. Monitoring and Evaluation is an integrated activity in making online media. Although it is a single activity, Monitoring and Evaluation has a different focus on each other. Keywords: Online Media, Millenial, Monitoring, Evaluation, Search Engine Optimization, Firar.id Masyarakat perkotaan Indonesia kini mulai beralih konsumsi berita melalui surat kabar ke berita online. Hal ini merupakan temuan dari riset yang dilakukan oleh lembaga riset global GfK, dan Indonesian Digital Association (IDA). Berdasarkan riset yang dilakukan di lima kota besar Indonesia sepanjang tahun 2015, persentase konsumsi berita melalui online mencapai 96 persen. Angka tertinggi dibandingkan dengan konsumsi berita melalui televisi sebesar 91 persen, surat kabar 31 persen dan radio sebesar 15 persen. Dari total responden sebesar 1.521 panelis, diperoleh data bahwa pembaca berita online didominasi oleh kelompok usia 20 hingga 42 tahun. Waktu yang menjadi pilihan favorit konsumsi berita adalah pada pukul 12.00-15.00 WIB pada hari Senin hingga Jumat. Sedangkan pada hari sabtu puncak konsumsi berita adalah pada pukul 12.00-18.00 WIB. Pada hari Minggu, puncak konsumsi berita berada pada rentan waktu yang lebih panjang, yaitu antara pukul 12.00 hingga pukul 21.00 WIB. Melihat Fenomena pembaca media online di Indonesia yang tinggi berdasarkan data dari Alexa.com, penulis tertarik membuat sebuah media online yang tentunya berbeda dari media online lainnya. Media online Firar.id mencoba menjadi warna tersendiri dengan memberikan pemberitaan good news dan juga menginspirasi bagi pembaca dan juga memberitakan dalam hal pembangunan dan permasalahanpermasalahan lainnya yang penting untuk diperhatikan dan diberi solusinya. Secara umum media online Firar.id mempunyai perkembangan yang signifikan pada awal pembuatannya. Berdasarkan data dari awal pembuatan pada bulan April 2018, sekitar 100 pengunjung melihat website dan sosial media Firar.id setiap harinya. Visibilitas website semakin meningkat dan pengunjung tidak hanya berasal dari dalam dalam negeri tapi juga berasal dari mancanegara. Namun melihat data yang ada media online Firar.id masih perlu adanya Monitoring dan Evaluasi serta Search Engine Optimization untuk meningkatkan jumlah pengunjung serta peningkatan kualitas konten berita yang nantinya akan membuat pengunjung aware terhadap media online Firar.id. Monitoring dan Evaluasi merupakan dua kegiatan terpadu dalam rangka pengendalian pembuatan sebuah media online. Meskipun merupakan satu kesatuan kegiatan, Monitoring dan Evaluasi memiliki fokus yang berbeda satu sama lain. Kata kunci: Monitoring dan Evaluasi, Search Engine Optimization, Media Online
