Abstract
PT. Unitex Tbk is a textile company that produces yarn and fabric material. PT. Unitex Tbk has several parts including Spinning (spinning), Weaving (weaving), Dyeing (dyeing cloth), yarn dye. This research aims to analyze the types of reject and supervise the process of quality control of fabric defects with the application of one method of Statistical Process Control (SPC) in the Weaving Section at PT. Unitex Tbk to solve the problem of product quality. This research uses data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations and literature studies on Quality Control. Based on observations and data obtained, the biggest defect problem that occurred at PT. Unitex Tbk is the result of a long tate defect of 60.16% with a total of 367 defects out of 610 total. Keywords: Statistical Process Control method, quality control, defect problem and Quality Control. PT. Unitex Tbk adalah perusahaan tekstil yang memproduksi bahan benang dan kain. PT. Unitex Tbk memiliki beberapa bagian antara lain bagian Spinning (pemintalan), Weaving (pertenunan), Dyeing (pencelupan kain), celup benang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa jenis – jenis reject serta mengawasi proses pengendalian kualitas cacat kain dengan penerapan salah satu metode Statistical Process Control (SPC) pada Bagian Weaving di PT. Unitex Tbk guna mengatasi persoalan mengenai kualitas produk. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi dan studi pustaka atas Pengendalian Kualitas. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan dan data yang diperoleh, permasalahan defect terbesar yang terjadi pada PT. Unitex Tbk adalah akibat dari cacat tate panjang sebesar 60.16% dengan jumlah cacat 367 dari total 610. Kata kunci : metode Statistical Process Control, pengendalian mutu, permasalahan defect dan Quality Control.
