Abstract
This study aims to find out the description of self-adjustment of students in boarding schools on boarding activities (case study: boarding school Al- Hidayah West Jakarta), respondents used are students living in boarding school Al-Hidayah West Jakarta aged 13-17 years. The type of research used in this study is a qualitative approach, with a sample size of 3 people. Adjustments observed include aspects of adjustment, factors that influence adjustment, the effect of self-adjustment and the point of view of adjustment. The method used in this study is the method of unstructured observation and directional interview method with interview guidelines. The results of this study indicate that in the process of self adjustment santri takes a long time to be able to adjust to the activities and social environment of boarding schools. Proven in early entry to the boarding school many students who break the rules of religious schools, but in the end it was reduced by itself along with the learning process they do. Keywords: Adjustment, Student, Boarding School, and Boarding Activities Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran penyesuaian diri santri di pondok pesantren pada kegiatan pesantren (studi kasus: pondok pesantren Al-Hidayah Jakarta Barat), responden yang digunakan adalah santri yang tinggal di pondok pesantren Al-Hidayah Jakarta Barat usia 13-17 tahun. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif, dengan jumlah sampel 3 orang. Penyesuaian diri yang diamati meliputi aspek-aspek penyesuaian diri, faktor yang mempengaruhi penyesuaian diri, pengaruh penyesuaian diri dan sudut pandang penyesuaian diri. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi tidak terstruktur dan metode wawancara terarah dengan pedoman wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam proses penyesuaian diri santri membutuhkan waktu yang cukup lama untuk dapat menyesuaikan diri pada kegiatan dan lingkungan sosial pesantren. Terbukti pada awal masuk ke pesantren banyak santri yang melanggar peraturan pesantren, namun pada akhirnya hal tersebut berkurang dengan sendirinya seiring dengan proses belajar yang mereka lakukan.
