Abstract

As we all knows, HR is an intangible asset. It is because HR as a strategic partner as well as corporate function to the achievement of company performance. Based on research run at PT Santos Jaya Abadi, author saw the tendency of decreasing EES scores in superior’s supports at PT SJA, and also many of employee engagement programs were not optimally run, there was performance gap in underperformed subordinates based on PMSI scores. These facts indicated employee engagement at PT SJA was decreasing. Superior’s supports, appreciations, and motivations can improve employee engagement. Motivation is said can be a great contributor to achieve corporate goals via employee engagement. The goal of this research is to find out how big is the impact of employee engagement and motivation to employee performance at PT SJA. The method of this research is descriptive and quantitative. The research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 56 respondents, and samples selection was conducted by non-probability sampling method, and analysed saturated samples by multiple linear regression data analysis. This research shows that employee engagement positively and significantly impacted to performance. Employee engagement and motivation simultaneously and significantly influenced SJA employee performance. The conclusion is employee engagement and motivation simultaneously contributed 72.4% to performance, while the remaining 27.6% was influenced by other variables beyond the research. Keywords : Engagement Employee, Motivation , Performance Sebagaimana kita ketahui bahwa SDM adalah Asset yang bersifat intangible. Hal ini dikarenakan SDM sebagai strategi patner dan fungsi-fungsi perusahaan terhadap pencapaian kinerja perusahaan. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan di PT Santos Jaya Abadi melihat kecenderungan menurunnya nilai survey EES pada dukungan atasan di PT SJA, serta banyaknya program-program Engagement karyawan yang diberlakukan oleh PT SJA tidak berjalan maksimal, skor PMSI yang ada masih dinilai terdapat kesenjangan kinerja kepada bawahan yang dinilai rendah. Dari hal diatas mengindikasi menurunnya engagement karyawan di PT SJA . Hal yang dapat meningkatkan engagement karyawan adalah dukungan atasan serta pengakuan terhadap bawahan, serta motivasi yang diberikan. Motivasi dikatakan dapat menjadi kontribusi yang baik dalam mencapai tujuan organsasi perusahaan melalui engagement karyawan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh engagement karyawan dan motivasi terhadap kinerja karyawan PT SJA. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah secara deskritif dan penelitian bersifat kuantitatif. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menyebar kuisioner sebanyak 56 responden dengan pengambilan sampel dilakukan non probability sampling dengan sampel jenuh dengan menggunakan analisa data regresi linier berganda. Penelitian memaparkan hasil bahwa engagemnet karyawan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja dan motivasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja. Engagement dan motivasi berpengaruh simultan dan signifikan kinerja karyawan PT SJA. Terdapat catatan yang dapat disimpulkan bahwa simultan engagement karyawan dan motivasi memiliki kontribusi sebesar 72,4% terhadap kinerja, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 27,6% dipengaruhi oleh variabel atau faktor lain di luar model penelitian.
