Abstract
ABSTRACT Internal communication is the exchange of information between members within the organization to achieve the desired outcome. Internal communications are not going well will result in the process of achievement and organizational goals inhibited. Not a few organizations within the company often experience internal communication problems, especially companies that are private, one of which PT. Glory Offset Press which is engaged in printing. Where the information submitted does not flow well between the leadership and between the employees, it is very important for an organization to apply internal communication to way in accordance with the structure, either its application directly (face to face) or with media as an intermediary. This research is conducted to find out how the implementation of internal communication that occurs within an organization, and how the flow of information is running, both vertically, horizontally and diagonally. Using the theoretical basis in R. Wayne Pace and Don F. Faules, Communication Communicating Stratergi Improving Corporate Performance, editor Deddy Mulyana, M.A., PH.D. The methodology used in this research is descriptive with qualitative approach. Technique of collecting data in the form of result of depth interview to informant. The results of this study discusses how the application in internal communication through the flow of information both vertically, horizontally and diagonally PT. Glory Offset Press uses more media such as (Whatsapp, Google Drive and Email) as an intermediary rather than face to face or meetings. Lack of interaction between the leadership and the employee impact on the performance of the employees due to lack of sense of belonging and lack of understanding between members. PT. Glory Offset Press uses three patterns of information flow, namely Wheel Pattern, Star Pattern and Y Pattern, This research concludes, PT. Glory Offset Press will be more effective if communication is not only done through application media, but regular meetings such as meetings to evaluate performance results between leaders and employees, or create internal events to foster a sense of solidarity between members. Keyword: Implementation, Communication Pattern, Internal Communication ABSTRAK Komunikasi internal adalah pertukaran informasi antara anggota di dalam organisasi untuk mencapai hasil yang diinginkan. Komunikasi internal yang tidak berjalan dengan baik akan mengakibatkan proses pencapaian dan tujuan organisasi terhambat. Tidak sedikit organisasi dalam perusahaan sering sekali mengalami masalah komunikasi internal, terutama perusahaan yang bersifat private, salah satunya PT. Glory Offset Press yang bergerak dalam bidang percetakan. Dimana informasi yang disampaikan tidak mengalir dengan baik antara pimpinan maupun antara pengawai, maka penting sekali bagi suatu organisasi untuk menerapkan komunikasi internal berjalan sesuai struktur, baik penerapannya secara langsung (face to face) atau dengan media sebagai perantara. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan komunikasi internal yang terjadi dalam suatu organisasi, dan bagaimana arus informasi tersebut berjalan, baik secara vertical, horizontal dan diagonal. Dengan menggunakan landasan teori didalam buku R. Wayne Pace dan Don F. Faules, yaitu Komunikasi Organisasi Stratergi Meningkatkan Kinerja Perusahaan, editor Deddy Mulyana, M.A.,PH.D. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa hasil wawancara mendalam kepada narasumber. Hasil penelitian ini membahas bagaimana penerapan dalam komunikasi internal melalui arus informasi baik secara vertical, horizontal dan diagonal PT. Glory Offset Press lebih banyak menggunakan media seperti (Whatsapp, Google Drive dan Email) sebagai perantara daripada pertemuan secara langsung (face to face) atau rapat. Kurangnya interaksi antara pimpinan dan pengawai berdampak kepada kinerja pengawai karena kurangnya sense of belonging dan kurangnya kesepahaman antara anggota. PT. Glory Offset Press menggunakan tiga pola aliran infomasi, yaitu Pola Roda, Pola Bintang dan Pola Y, Penelitian ini menyimpulkan, PT. Glory Offset Press akan lebih efektif jika komunikasi tidak hanya dilakukan melalui media aplikasi, tetapi pertemuan rutin seperti rapat untuk mengevaluasi hasil kinerja antara pimpinan dan pengawai, atau membuat acara internal untuk menumbuhkan rasa kekompakkan antara anggota.
