Abstract
The development of digital technology is changing the landscape of the broadcasting industry, including radio as a conventional medium that is now facing stiff competition from various other digital media and platforms. Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) Jakarta has a strategic responsibility to maintain its relevance and existence as a Public Broadcasting Institution (LPP). This research aims to analyse RRI Jakarta's digital transformation strategy in maintaining its existence amidst media competition, using media convergence theory and dynamic capabilities theory. This research uses a constructivist paradigm with a descriptive qualitative approach, through case study research method. Data collection was obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation in the RRI Jakarta environment. The research results show that RRI Jakarta applies a hybrid radio broadcast model; carries out an adaptive digital transformation strategy, including forming a New Media Content (KMB) team to responds digital content management needs; and utilizes digital platforms such as RRI Digital and Digital Audio Broadcasting Plus (DAB+) technology. Perkembangan teknologi digital mengubah lanskap industri penyiaran, termasuk radio sebagai media konvensional yang kini menghadapi persaingan ketat dengan berbagai media dan platform digital lainnya. Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) Jakarta memiliki tanggungjawab strategis untuk menjaga relevansi dan eksistensinya sebagai Lembaga Penyiaran Publik (LPP). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi transformasi digital RRI Jakarta dalam mempertahankan eksistensi di tengah persaingan media, menggunakan teori konvergensi media dan kapabilitas dinamis. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan paradigma konstruktivis, dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, melalui metode penelitian studi kasus. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi di lingkungan RRI Jakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa RRI Jakarta menerapkan model siaran hybrid radio; melakukan strategi transformasi digital secara adaptif, termasuk membentuk tim Konten Media Baru (KMB) untuk merespon kebutuhan pengelolaan konten digital; hingga pemanfaatan platform digital seperti RRI Digital dan teknologi Digital Audio Broadcasting Plus (DAB+).
