Abstract

PT. PJM merupakan salah satu produsen filter otomotif dunia dengan berbagai variasi produk, yang diproduksi sesuai dengan permintaan pelanggan. Element Assy merupakan komponen utama produk filter yang berfungsi sebagai melindungi mesin dari debu, dan pencemaran, memaksimalkan efisiensi dari mesin, mengurangi biaya pemeliharaan dan kerusakan mesin. Six sigma merupakan salah alat yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang paling mempengaruhi karakteristik baik dari segi produk atau jasa yang diberikan kepada pelanggan, serta menunjukkan langkah-langkah untuk perbaikan proses. Evaluasi kinerja organisasi atau perusahaan dalam usaha six sigma dilakukan untuk perbaikan, pemecahan masalah, dan perencanaan proses dengan konstribusi seluruh anggota. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasi Model perbaikan atau pemecahan masalah yang umum digunakan dalam metode Six Sigma yaitu siklus lima fase Menentukan, Mengukur, Analisa, Perbaikan, dan Kendalikan atau DMAIC. Model DMAIC akan coba diterapkan dalam perbaikan mutu dan peningkatan produktifitas sehingga PT. PJM akan menjadi lebih responsif, efisien, kompetitif, dan profitable. PT. PJM is one of filter producer automotive in the world with various variation of product, which produced as according to customer requirement. Element Assy is functioning filter product principal components as protecting machine from dust, and contamination, maximizes efficiency from machine, lessens maintenance cost and machine damage. Six sigma is a tool applied to identify factors that is very influences characteristic either from the product or service given to customer, and shows steps for process improvement. Organizational performance evaluation or company in effort for six sigma done for improvement, trouble-shooting, and process planning with contribution of all member. This article aim to implementation improvement model trouble-shooting or used occasionally in method Six Sigma that is cycle five phases Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control or DMAIC. Model DMAIC will try applied in improvement quality and productivity so that PT. PJM will become more responsive, efficient, competitive, and profitable. PT. PJM is one of producer filter in the world with various product variations, which production appropriate customer requirements.
