Abstract

Social media has undergone rapid development and has become one of the main drivers of communication, information and interaction in daily life. With the rapid development of social media and e-commerce integration, the question arises as to how interactions within these platforms affect consumption activities, especially among teenagers. This study aims to determine the communication process in TikTok's latest feature with live streaming on the @jiniso.id account in teenagers' consumption activities. This research examines how the TikTok live streaming communication process uses the communication model created by Wilbur Schramm, namely Sender (Encoder), Message (Message), Channel (Channel), Recipient (Decoder), Feedback (Feedback), Context (Context), Noise (Noise) on the Tiktok @jiniso.id account. This study uses a post-positivism paradigm qualitative approach qualitative descriptive method. The data collection technique is through in-depth interviews and documentation regarding TikTok Live Streaming on the @jiniso.id account. The results of this study indicate that TikTok Live Streaming @jiniso.id successfully creates a communication process with communication elements namely sender, message, channel, receiver, feedback, and context functioning well to provide an online shopping experience with effective two-way interaction between streamers and consumers. Streamers from Jiniso successfully play an important role as a liaison in delivering product information in an interesting and informative manner. TikTok Live Streaming can significantly influence teenagers' consumption activities when they see attractive offers and effective communication interactions. Media sosial telah mengalami perkembengan pesat dan telah menjadi salah satu pendorong utama komunikasi, informasi, dan interaksi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dengan pesatnya perkembangan media sosial dan integrasi e-commerce, muncul pertanyaan mengenai bagaimana interaksi dalam platform ini mempengaruhi aktivitas konsumsi, terutama di kalangan remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses komunikasi dalam fitur terbaru TikTok dengan live streaming pada akun @jiniso.id dalam aktivitas konsumsi remaja. Penelitian ini meneliti bagaimana proses komunikasi TikTok live streaming menggunakan model komunikasi yang diciptakan oleh Wilbur Schramm yaitu Pengirim (Encoder), Pesan (Message), Saluran (Channel), Penerima (Decoder), Umpan Balik (Feedback), Konteks (Context), Gangguan (Noise) pada akun Tiktok @jiniso.id. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma post-positivisme pendekatan kualitatif metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu melalui wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi mengenai TikTok Live Streaming pada akun @jiniso.id. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa TikTok Live Streaming @jiniso.id berhasil menciptakan proses komunikasi dengan elemen komunikasi yakni pengirim, pesan, saluran, penerima, umpan balik, dan konteks berfungsi dengan baik untuk memberikan pengalaman belanja online dengan interaksi dua arah yang efektif antara streamer dan konsumen. Streamer dari Jiniso berhasil berperan penting sebagai penghubung dalam menyampaikan informasi produk secara menarik dan informatif. TikTok Live Streaming dapat mempengaruhi aktivitas konsumsi remaja secara signifikan ketika melihat tawaran menarik dan interaksi komunikasi yang efektif.
