Abstract

The development of MSMEs product has experienced significant, making competition stronger. Branding needs to be done by MSMEs so that their business can grow rapidly and have a competitive edge. One way is to re-branding the product by realizing it through logo design. The resulting output is in the form of a logo design as part of the re-branding for the MSMEs product Skin Rice Arteri. The implementation began by discussing problems related to visual branding. Then the implementer decided to do branding trough logo design as part of branding through visual communication. Logo design consist of several stages which include research, mindmapping, determining keyword, creating a moodboard, making sketches manually, creating several alternative logo designs the best represents the Skin Rice Arteri brand, as well creating a complete final logo with taglines. The logo design was based on the uniqueness and superiority of the Skin Rice Atreri product compared to other competitors. And the final results will be handed over to MSMEs who produce Skin Rice Arteri as a branding strategy, especially visual communication. Perkembangan produk UMKM mengalami perkembangan yang signifikan membuat persaingan menjadi lebih kuat. Branding perlu dilakukan oleh UMKM agar bisnisnya dapat berkembang pesat dan mempunyai daya saing. Salah satu caranya adalah re-branding produknya dengan cara diwujudkan melalui desain logo. Luaran yang dihasilkan berupa perancangan ulang logo sebagai bagian dari re-branding untuk produk UMKM Nasi Kulit Arteri. Pelaksanaan dimulai dengan mendiskusikan permasalahan terkait visual branding. Kemudian pelaksana memutuskan untuk re-branding melalui perancangan ulang logo sebagai bagian dari branding melalui komunikasi visual. Perancangan ulang logo terdiri dari beberapa tahap yang mencakup riset, mindmapping, menentukan keyword, membuat moodboard, membuat sketsa secara manual, membuat beberapa alternatif desain logo secara computerized, dan menentukan desain logo yang paling tepat mempresentasikan brand Nasi Kulit Arteri, serta membuat final logo yang lengkap dengan tagline. Perancangan ulang logo didasari oleh keunikan dan keunggulan produk Nasi Kulit Arteri dibandingkan dengan pesaing lainnya. Dan hasil akhirnya akan diserahkan kepada UMKM yang memproduksi Nasi Kulit Arteri sebagai strategi branding khususnya komunikasi visual.
