Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dan media telah menyebabkan perubahan besar dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Salah satu perubahan yang paling signifikan adalah meningkatnya konsumsi konten digital. Search WWW mengangkat suatu realita mengenai praktisi public relation dalam dunia digital. Drama ini menggambarkan bagaimana tiga perempuan yang bekerja di perusahaan portal web terbesar di Korea Selatan sebagai public relation berjuang untuk menghadapi berbagai tantangan, konflik, dan persaingan di dunia kerja yang didominasi oleh laki-laki. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivitis, dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan analisis teori semiotik Pierce yang terdiri dari tiga aspek penting atau triangle meaning. Unit analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah serial drama yang berjudul Search:WWW khususnya pada konten PR yang berupa audio visual yang terdiri dari pesan verbal dan pesan nonverbal terkait dengan tanda-tanda yang memaknai konten public relations di dalam tayangan drama Search: WWW. Tanda-tanda yang akan diteliti tersebut berjumlah 7 scene drama dalam 1 season. Hasil penelitian menunjukan Makna konten Public Relation pada drama Search:WWW terdapat pada pesan verbal berupa dialog lisan dan tulisan yang disajikan. Kemudian, kegiatan Public Relation terdapat pada pesan non-verbal yang berupa gesture, gaya emosi, feedback, dan media penyampaian informasi. The development of technology and media has caused major changes in people's lives. One of the most significant changes is the increased consumption of digital content. Search WWW raises a reality regarding public relations practitioners in the digital world. This drama depicts how three women who work at the largest web portal company in South Korea as public relations struggle to face various challenges, conflicts and competition in a world of work dominated by men. This research uses a constructivist paradigm, using a qualitative approach and analysis of Pierce's semiotic theory which consists of three important aspects or triangle meaning. The unit of analysis in this research is the drama series entitled Search: WWW, especially PR content in the form of audio visuals consisting of verbal messages and non-verbal messages related to signs that interpret the public relations content in the drama show Search: WWW. The signs that will be studied are 7 drama scenes in 1 season. The research results show that the meaning of Public Relations content in the drama Search: WWW is found in the verbal messages in the form of spoken and written dialogue that are presented. Then, Public Relations activities involve non- verbal messages in the form of gestures, emotional style, feedback, and media for conveying information.
