Abstract
This research is about the sustainability of Minangkabau culture in strengthening human resources, which is a strategic study of human resource management in the context of Minangkabau Indigenous Peoples. In the past, the Minangkabau area was known for producing intellectuals who contributed to the nation's struggle for independence. Over time, there has been a shift in values as a result of the changes that have occurred. Research Objectives: Obtaining an overview of the reality of the concept and construction of original cultural values of the life of the Minangkabau indigenous people in Tiga Luhak and their integration into the development and strengthening of human resources in a sustainable manner Research Methods: This research uses a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods based on the Post-Positivism Phenomenological Interpretive paradigm, a holistic study seeking essences and implicated moral values in observation, analysis, and making conclusions in disclosing social facts about the Minangkabau indigenous people. Research Findings: Since ancient times, Minangkabau customs have contained values, beliefs, and original knowledge—something that is original and unique, inherent as a world view and outlook on life that has been passed down from generation to generation. The changes that occurred hardly changed the structure (e.g., region, community), but as the implementation of the original concepts of customary order weakened in the community, changes occurred in some systems (e.g., the concept of the education system, traditional rituals, government system) and behaviour. Conclusion: Minangkabau indigenous cultural values and knowledge, in accordance with the life goals of the Minang people for centuries, "hiduik bajaso-mati bapusako," have become social capital in the sustainability of development and strengthening of human capital. Penelitian ini tentang Sustainability Budaya Minangkabau dalam Penguatan Sumber Daya Manusia, yang merupakan kajian strategik Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia dalam konteks Masyarakat Adat Minangkabau. Di masa lalu daerah Minangkabau dikenal sebagai penghasil kaum intelektual yang berjasa dalam perjuangan bangsa menuju kemerdekaan. Seiring perkembangan waktu terjadi pergeseran nilai-nilai sebagai akibat dari perubahan yang terjadi. Tujuan Penelitian: Diperolehnya gambaran dari realita konsep dan konstruksi nilai-nilai budaya asli kehidupan masyarakat adat Minangkabau di Tiga Luhak, dan integrasinya ke dalam pembangunan dan penguatan sumber daya manusia secara berkelanjutan. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Kualitatif dengan metode etnografi berdasarkan paradigma Post-Positivisme Phenomenologi Interpretif sebuah telaah secara holistik, mencari esensi, dan mengimplikasikan nilai moral dalam observasi, analisis, dan pembuatan kesimpulan pengungkapan fakta sosial masyarakat adat Minangkabau. Temuan Penelitian: Sejak dulu di dalam adat Minangkabau terkandung nilai-nilai, keyakinan, pengetahuan asli, sesuatu yang orisinil dan khas, melekat sebagai pandangan dunia dan pandangan hidup yang dipakai secara turun temurun dari waktu ke waktu. Perubahan yang terjadi hampir tidak merubah struktur (misal: wilayah - masyarakat), namun seiring melemahnya pelaksanaan implementasi konsep-konsep asli tatanan adat di tengah masyarkat, perubahan terjadi pada sebagian sistem (misal: konsep sistem pendidikan – ritual adat – sistem pemerintahan) dan perilaku. Kesimpulan: Nilai-nilai budaya dan pengetahuan asli Minangkabau sesuai tujuan hidup orang Minang selama berabad-abad “hiduik bajaso – mati bapusako” telah menjadi modal sosial dalam pembangunan dan penguatan modal insani secara berkelanjutan.
