Abstract
The development of new media is currently increasingly rapid, especially social media. New media is media that was born today. Many social media have emerged, one of which is the YouTube application. The aim of this research is to find out how Nessie Judge's Instagram followers interpret the content entitled "Tangmo Nida: Summary of the Mystery Case of the Sinking of a Beautiful Thai Actress". The theory used in this research is reception analysis theory according to Stuart Hall. This research uses a qualitative approach method with a reception analysis study. The focus of this research is on how Nessie Judge's Followers interpret the content of Nessie Judge's YouTube Channel Episode "Tangmo Nida: Summary of the Mystery Case of the Drowning of a Beautiful Thai Actress". The results of this research obtained two categories in dominant position and negotiation position. This meaning was obtained based on the assumptions of the six informants. those who agree to this content provide a summary according to the title, displaying the perpetrator, victim, and evidence about the murder as well as complete information in the content, so that the informant is in a dominant position who can fully interpret the contents of the broadcast displayed in the content. The meaning of negotiation is depicted in one of the informants, this could be because he still prioritizes religious, cultural or legal values. There is no meaning of opposition. Keywords: Reception Analysis, Audience, Murder, YouTube. Perkembangan media baru pada saat ini semakin pesat, terutama pada media sosial. Media baru merupakan media yang lahir pada zaman sekarang. Banyaknya media sosial yang bermunculan salah satunya Aplikasi Youtube. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Bagaimana pemaknaan Follower instagram Nessie Judge pada konten yang berjudul “Tangmo Nida: Rangkuman Kasus Misteri Tenggelamnya Aktris Cantik Thailand”. Teori yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah teori analisis resepsi menurut Stuart Hall. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi analisis resepsi. Fokus penelitian ini adalah mengenai bagaimana pemaknaan Followers Nessie Judge pada konten Youtube Channel Nessie Judge Episode "Tangmo Nida: Rangkuman Kasus Misteri Tenggelamnya Aktris Cantik Thailand”. Hasil penelitian ini mendapatkan dua kategori yaitu posisi dominan dan posisi negosiasi. Pemaknaan tersebut didapatkan berdasarkan asumsi keenam informan yang setuju pada konten ini memberikan rangkuman sesuai dengan judulnya, menampilkam pelaku, korban, dan bukti tentang pembunuhan serta informasi yang lengkap pada konten tersebut, sehingga informan berada pada posisi dominan yang dapat memaknai secara utuh isi tayangan yang ditampilkan pada konten. Pemaknaan negosiasi tergambarkan pada salah satu informan, hal itu bisa di sebabkan karena ia masih mengedepankan nilai agama, budaya atau hukum. Tidak ada pemaknaan oposisi.
