Abstract
This study aims to examine the influence of organizational culture and leadership on performance with motivation as an intervening variable. The number of respondents involved in this study were 87 respondents. All respondents are employees at the “ABC” University. This research is a research with a quantitative approach. The data used in this study are primary data obtained from the questionnaire filling results. The data from the filling results were then analyzed using the Partial Least Square analysis technique using the SmartPLS program. Based on the results of the analysis in this study, it was found that: (1) Organizational culture has a positive effect on employee motivation; (2) Leadership has a positive effect on employee motivation; (3) organizational culture has a positive effect on employee performance; (4) Leadership has a positive effect on employee performance; (5) work motivation has a positive effect on performance; (6) Motivation can mediate the influence of organizational culture on performance; (7) Motivation can mediate the influence of leadership on performance. The results of the analysis in this study also show that career development can mediate motivation and competence on employee performance. The amount of contribution that gives organizational culture and leadership to employee work motivation is 44.7%, while the big influence of the influence of organizational culture on leadership and motivation on performance is 66.3%. Keywords: organization, culture, leadership, performance, motivation, Partial Least Square Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh budaya organisasi dan kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja dengan motivasi kerja sebagai variabel intervening. Jumlah responden yang dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 87 responden. Seluruh responden merupakan karyawan di perguruan tinggi “ABC”. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa data primer yang diperoleh dari hasil pengisian keusioner. Data hasil pengisian selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis Partial Least Square dengan menggunakan bantuan program SmartPLS. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dalam penelitian ini diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa : (1) Budaya organisasi berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi kerja karyawan; (2) Kepemimpinan berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi kerja karyawan; (3) Budaya organisasi berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja karyawan; (4) Kepemimpinan berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja karyawan; (5) Motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja; (6) Motivasi dapat memediasi pengaruh budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja; (7) Motivasi dapat memediasi pengaruh kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja. Hasil analisis dalam penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan karir dapat memediasi pengaruh motivasi dan kompetensi terhadap kinerja karyawan. Besar kontribusi yang diberikan budaya organisasi dan kepemimpinan terhadap motivasi kerja karyawan adalah sebesar 44,7%, sedangkan besar kontribusi pengaruh budaya organisasi, kepemimpinan dan motivasi terhadap kinerja adalah 66,3%.
