Abstract
The public's need for information about COVID-19 in Indonesia is verynecessary to survive in the face of, prevent and adapt to a pandemic that lastedapproximately two years. Where humans as an information society use informationfor decision-making in life both for themselves and for society. Seeing the urgency of the problem of information needs about COVID-19, researchers need to examine whether there is an effect of using the covid19.go.idportal on meeting the information needs of covid 19 in the Starbucks Coffee area of Tangerang by using the theoretical analysis of Uses Gratification - GratificationSought and Gratification Obtained. The research was conducted with a positivist paradigm with a quantitativeapproach, with descriptive statistical analysis using simple linear regression. The datacollection method used is using a questionnaire distributed to 100 respondents in theStarbucks Coffee Tangerang area. The results of the study indicate that there is a positive influence on the useof the covid19.go.id portal on meeting the information needs of covid 19. It is alsofound that the integrity dimension is an important dimension in the variable of usingthe covid19.go.id portal where it is assumed that the community has a knowledgemotive. about covid 19 for the benefit of socializing and helping carry out their social roles in society. And on the variable of meeting information needs, the affectivedimension becomes a dimension that has a big influence, where people in theStarbucks Coffee area of Tangerang use the covid19.go.id portal to get attention andappreciation from the environment, family, and people around, in other words, become people who are always up-to-date in information about covid 19 in Indonesia. Keywords: Uses Gratification Theory, Gratification Sought (GS), GratificationObtained (GO), covid19.go.id Kebutuhan masyarakat akan informasi mengenai covid 19 di Indonesia sangat diperlukan untuk bertahan hidup dalam menghadapi, mencegah dan beradaptasi dari pandemi yang berlangsung sudah kurang lebih dua tahun. Dimana manusia sebagai masyarakat informasi yang menggunakan informasi untuk pengambilan keputusandalam kehidupannya baik untuk diri sendiri maupun bermasyarakat. Melihat urgensi masalah kebutuhan informasi tentang COVID-19 tersebut, maka peneliti perlu meneliti apakah terdapat pengaruh penggunaan portal covid19.go.id terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi covid 19 di lingkunganStarbucks Coffee Kawasan Tangerang dengan menggunakan analisis teori Uses Gratification - Gratification Sought dan Gratification Obtained. Penelitian dilakukan dengan paradigma positivis berpendekatan kuantitatif, dengan analisa statistik deskriptif menggunakan regresi linear sederhana. Metodepengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah menggunakan kuesioner yang disebarkankepada 100 orang respoden di lingkungan Starbucks Coffee Kawasan Tangerang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh secara positif padapenggunaan portal covid19.go.id terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi covid 19. Serta ditemukan bahwa dimensi integritas sosial menjadi dimensi yang penting dalamvariabel penggunaan portal covid19.go.id di mana hal ini berasumsi bahwamasyarakat memiliki motif memperoleh pengetahuan tentang covid 19 untukkepentingan bersosialisasi dan membantu menjalankan peran sosialnya di masyarakat. Dan pada variabel pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi pada dimensi afektif menjadi dimensi yang memberikan pengaruh besar, di mana masyarakat di lingkunganStarbucks Coffee Kawasan Tangerang menggunakan portal covid19.go.id untukmendapatkan perhatian dan penghargaan dari lingkungan, keluarga, dan orang sekitar, dengan kata lain menjadi orang yang selalu terkini dalam informasi mengenai covid19 di Indonesia.
