Abstract

An international school with a boarding school education system is a combination of the public school education system and the boarding school education system. Boarding schools are usually established to send students with parents having middle and upper economic backgrounds. Because the facilities provided by boarding schools are usually very complete. Kafila International Islamic School is different from other boarding schools because Kafila international Islamic school is the author of designing elementary-high school education facilities with pesantren facilities in it consisting of street children, underprivileged and orphans. To support development, the authors designed a school with a hybrid architectural approach with the aim of making vertical buildings that have productive green land. So that hybridization is applied to the combination of two activities, namely living and carrying out activities that support land productivity (gardening). Both hybridization are the main concepts for make a multi-functional building in a single building. This combination can give the impression to students to be close to plants and nature. So apart from being able to accommodate educational needs, this residence can be a building that provides a productive open area. Keywords: Boarding school, hybrid architecture Sekolah international denagan sistem Pendidikan boarding school merupakan perpaduan antara sistem Pendidikan sekolah umum dengan sistem Pendidikan pondok pesantren.Boarding school biasanya didirikan untuk menyekolahkan siswa dengan latar belakang orangtua mempunyai ekonomi menengah keatas.Karena Fasilitas yang disediakan Boarding school juga biasanya sangat lengkap. Kafila International Islamic School merupakan yang berbeda dari sekolah boarding school lainnya karena Kafila international Islamic school ini penulis merancang fasilitias Pendidikan SD-SMA dengan fasilitas pesantren didalamnya terdiri dari anak-anak jalanan,kurang mampu dan yatim piatu. Untuk menunjang pengembangan maka penulis mendesain sekolah dengan pendekatan arsitektur hybrid dengan tujuan membuat bangunan vertikal yang memiliki lahan hijau yang produktif.Agar Hibridisasi diterapkan pada penggabungan antar dua aktivitas yaitu berhuni dan melakukan aktivitas yang mendukung produktifitas lahan (berkebun).Kedua hibridasi menjadi konsep utama untuk membuat bangunan multi fungsi dalam satu kesatuan bangunan.Penggabungan ini dapat memberikan kesan kepada siswa-siswa agar dekat dengan tumbuhan dan alam.Sehingga selain bisa mengakomodasi kebutuhan Pendidikan,hunian ini dapat menjadi bangunan yang menyediakan area terbuka produktif.
