Abstract

Clothing is one of the basic human needs, nowadays the need has developed into the need for LifeStyle, which was influenced by place, time and special occasion. In General, the participants of such event are influential people who use unusual Avant-Garde Fashion as self-identity. Because Avant-Garde itself is a term for “vanguard’ or “fore-guard”, or people that are on the front line. This principal has similarity with Futurism that adores ‘dynamism’. The Writer was inspired to ‘bridge’ the two understanding, explore and identify fashion visual using the Principle of Two-Dimensional Design and Gestalt Theory. Subsequently designing a fashion piece which’s visual concept are based on the Principle of Two-Dimensional Design and Gestalt Theory to produce a fashion piece that has the impression of the Futurism art movement. Keywords : Fashion, Visual, Principle of Two-Dimensional Design, Gestalt, Avant-Garde, Futurism. Busana adalah salah satu kebutuhan dasar manusia, namun dewasa ini seiring perkembangan jaman kebutuhan tersebut menjadi gaya hidup, yang mana dipengaruhi oleh tempat, waktu dan acara spesial. Umumnya para peserta acara spesial seperti itu adalah orang-orang berpengaruh yang menggunakan busana Avant-Garde yang tidak biasa sebagai identitas diri. Karena Avant-Garde sendiri adalah istilah untuk para pelopor, atau orang yang berada di garis depan. Prinsip ini memiliki kesamaan dengan Futurisme yang menganut 'dinamisme'. Dari sini penulis terinspirasi untuk menjembatani kedua pemahaman ini , mengeksplorasi dan mengidentifikasi visual busana dengan teori Nirmana dan Teori Gestlat, kemudian merancang busana yang konsep bentuk visualnya didasari dengan pemikiran penyusunan Nirmana dan Gestalt untuk menghasilkan busana yang memiliki kesan gerakan seni Futurisme.
