Abstract
The need for a proper place to live is a very basic need for every human being. The increasing price of land in urban areas has led to the mushrooming of slum settlements which are not suitable for housing. Subsidized vertical shelters or simple flat owned are a solution for the government in providing decent housing. However, the simple flats that are currently available do not provide space for residents to interact with their neighbors so they tend to form individualistic and closed behaviors. This design designs a vertical residence located in Tanah Abang that is more humane and affordable, where the culture of mutual cooperation and togetherness can be accommodated. With a land area of 50,0012 square meters, accommodating 2,520 residential units of 18 square meters and 36 square meters, equipped with modern market facilities, places of worship, clinics, PAUD and other social facilities. Kebutuhan tempat tinggal yang layak merupakan kebutuhan sangat mendasar bagi setiap manusia. Makin mahalnya harga tanah di perkotaan membuat menjamurnya permukiman kumuh yang sangat tidak layak untuk tempat tinggal. Huninan vertikal bersubsidi atau rumah susun sederhana milik menjadi sebuah solusi bagi pemerintah dalam menyediakan tempat tinggal yang layak. Namun rumah susun sederhana milik yang saat ini tersedia kurang menyediakan ruang bagi penghuninya untuk berinteraksi dengan tetangganya sehingga cenderung membentuk perilaku yang individualis dan tertutup. Perancangan ini merancang sebuah hunian vertikal yang berlokasi di Tanah Abang yang lebih humanis dan terjangkau, dimana kultur gotong-royong dan kebersamaan mampu diwadahinya. Dengan luas lahan 50.0012 meter persegi, menampung 2.520 unit hunian type 18 meter persegi dan 36 meter persegi, dilengkapi dengan fasilitas pasar modern, tempat ibadah, klinik, PAUD dan fasilitas sosial lainnya.
