Abstract

Splitter is often found in use on car acceoris, splitter function is to divide the direction of fluid (air) to make the areodynamic force more optimal on a car. Aerodynamic forces include drag, lift and compressive force where the force will cause instability in the car, when the value of the force is opposite. This research was conducted using the Computation Fluid Dynamic (CFD) method to determine the numerical values of drag, lift and drag force on the car. The simulation test uses an angle of -10 degrees with Drag Force value of 369 N, Lift Force of -330 N, Coefficient Drag of 0.3233 N and Coefficient of Lift of -0.2027 N. From the data of the splitter with a slope of -10 it works compared to a car without a splitter and obtained a decrease respectively - each value decreased Drag Force (FD) by 8.29%, Coefficient Drag (CD) by 19.2%, Lift Force (FC) by 10.22% and Coefficient Lift (CL) by 6.1%. So it can be concluded that the test simulation that uses a splitter is more aerodynamic, stable so that it increases security when used compared to simulations without a splitter. Keyword: Splitter, Tilt Angle Splitter, Aerodynamic, Coefficient Drag, Coefficient Lift, Car, CFD Splitter sering di jumpai penggunaanya pada acceoris mobil, fungsi splitter adalah membagi arah fluida (udara) untuk membuat gaya areodinamis lebih optimal pada mobil. Gaya aerodinmais meliputi gaya hambat, gaya angkat dan gaya tekan dimana gaya tersebut akan mengakibatkan ketidak stabilan pada mobil,ketika nilai dari gaya tersebut berlawanan. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode Computation Fluid Dynamic (CFD) untuk mengetahui nilai numerik pada gaya hambat, gaya angkat dan gaya terkan pada mobil. Simulasi pengujian menggunakan kemiringan sudut -10 derajat dengan nilai Drag Force 369 N, Lift Force -330 N, Coefficient Drag 0.3233 N dan Coefficient Lift -0.2027 N. Dari data splitter dengan kemiringan -10 derjajat di bandingakan dengan mobil tanpa splitter dan didapatkan penurunan masing – masing nilai mengalami penurunan Drag Force (FD) sebesar 8.29 %, Coefficient Drag (CD) sebesar 19.2%, Lift Force (FC) sebesar 10.22% dan Coefficient Lift (CL) sebesar 6.1%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa simulasi pengujian yang menggunakan splitter lebih aerodinamis, stabil sehingga meningkatkan keamaan saat digunakan dibandingkan simulasi tanpa splitter.
