Abstract

Government through Government Regulation No. 28 Year 2008, declared that the rubber and plastics industry is part of the industrial group prioritized development. PT. Hankook Tire Indonesia is a strategic program with the greatest investment value for the rubber industry. PT. Hankook Tire Indonesia is a new plant, so many problems that arise. One of the problems arise is the laboratory activities. Testing activities in the laboratory are not optimal, this causes the sample was not completed so that it becomes WIP and increased overtime. In this study implemented Business Process Improvements using Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Lean Labs. From the results obtained there was an activity Non Value Added (NVA) and the operator workload is uneven. Results of improvement is reduce overall NVA and leveling the operator workload, that is impact to reducing Lead Time for sample testing. Keyword : Business Process Improvement, VSM, Lean Labs
