Abstract

The propose of this research is to analyze more deeply about raw material inventory costs efficiency of Rap Guard Plastic Sheet size 1300mm x 200m and 870mm x 200m using Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method at PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor. The research design is quantitative with data collection methods are interviews, documentation and observation. While the analytical method is comparative analysis. The results of this study indicate that the total inventory cost savings that companies can obtain using the EOQ method are for Rap Guard Plastic Sheet 1300mm x 200m in 2016 amounted to 70% or Rp. 354.801.455 and in 2017 amounted 51% or Rp. 139.757.747 while for the Rap guard plastic sheet 870mm x 200m the total cost savings produced in 2016 amounted to 51% or Rp. 429.758.280 and in 2017 amounted 52% or Rp. 493.846.332. So it can be concluded from this study that calculation of Total Costs using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method is economically safer than the company calculation and the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method can be used to improve inventory cost efficiently at PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor. Keywords: Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Control, Inventory, Cost Efficiency Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis lebih dalam tentang efisiensi biaya persediaan bahan baku Rap Guard Plastic Sheet ukuran 1300mm x 200m dan 870mm x 200m dengan menggunakan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) pada PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor. Desain penelitian bersifat kuantitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data yaitu wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah metode analisis komparatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa total penghematan biaya persediaan yang dapat perusahaan peroleh dengan menggunakan metode EOQ yaitu untuk Rap Guard Plastic Sheet 1300mm x 200m pada tahun 2016 adalah sebesar 70% atau Rp. 354.801.455 dan pada tahun 2017 sebesar 51% atau Rp. 139.757.747 sedangkan untuk Rap guard plastic sheet 870mm x 200m pada tahun 2016 adalah sebesar 51% atau Rp. 429.758.280 dan pada tahun 2017 sebesar 52% atau Rp. 493.846.332. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan perhitungan biaya persediaan menggunakan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan perhitungan perusahaan dan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) dapat mengefisienkan biaya persediaan pada PT.
