Abstract
Test kits are designed based on certain preferences by measuring the tendency of a person's personality type. The instruments used in the MBTI are more numerous than other similar instruments. Measurement is the cornerstone of trade, science, technology, and quantitative research in many disciplines. This study validates the MBTI measurement tool using a quantitative approach with the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) method involving 600 respondents. MBTI measuring tool consists of 15 items that measure four dimensions, namely extrovert (E) or introvert (I), sensing (S) or intuitive (I), thinking (T) or feeling (F), and judging (J) or perceiving (P). The measuring tool proved to be valid. The results of this test prove that the MBTI measurement tool has met the assumption of unidimensionality. Keywords: Personality, MBTI, Measurement, CFA Alat tes dirancang berdasarkan preferensi-preferensi tertentu dengan mengukur kecenderungan tipe kepribadian seseorang. Instrumen yang digunakan pada MBTI lebih banyak dibandingkan instrumen lain yang sejenis. Pengukuran adalah landasan perdagangan, ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, dan penelitian kuantitatif dalam banyak disiplin ilmu. Penelitian ini memvalidasi alat ukur MBTI menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) dengan melibatkan 600 responden. Alat ukur MBTI terdiri dari 15 item yang mengukur empat dimensi yaitu ekstrovert (E) atau introvert (I), sensing (S) atau intuition (I), thinking (T) atau feeling (F), judging (J) atau perceiving (P). Alat ukur terbukti valid pada beberapa itemnya. Hasil pengujian ini membuktikan bahwa alat ukur MBTI itemnya beberapa memenuhi asumsi unidimensionalitas.
