Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a correlation between alexithymia and hopelessness on suicide loss survivors. Alexithymia is a condition in which a person experiences a deficit or failure in cognitive processes and emotional regulation so that it cannot describe or identify what is felt. While hopelessness is a negative cognitive scheme related to the future. Subjects in this study were 30 suicide loss survivor. This study uses a quantitative approach. Sampling in this study uses Accidental Sampling with Pearson's Correlation Coefficient analysis method. The analysis test results produce a significant value of 0.003 with the acquisition of the correlation coefficient 0.518. It can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between Alexithymia and hopelessness in suicide loss survivors. Keyword : Alexithymia, Hopelessness, Suicide Loss Survivors Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara alexithymia dan hopelessness pada penyintas kehilangan dari bunuh diri. Alexithymia adalah kondisi dimana seseorang mengalami defisit atau kegagalan dalam proses kognitif dan regulasi emosi sehingga tidak dapat mendeskripsikan atau mengidentifikasi apa yang dirasakan. Sedangkan hopelessness adalah sebuah skema kognitif negatif terkait masa depan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 30 orang penyintas kehilangan dari bunuh diri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan accidental sampling dengan metode analisis Pearson’s correlation coefficient. Hasil uji analisa menghasilkan nilai signifikan sebesar 0,003 dengan perolehan nilai koefisen korelasi 0,518. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara alexithymia dan hopelessness pada penyintas kehilangan dari bunuh diri.
