Abstract

Turnover is a matter of concern to the company, because the impact is large enough for the company. These impacts include increased expenditure costs for new recruitment, selection, and training, as well as delays in targets that should be achieved by the company. The same thing is felt in PT. ISJ, where turnover occurring during the period of 2013-2017 increases in number. With regard to this matter, this study aims to determine the direct influence of independent variables namely workload, compensation and transformational leadership of the dependent variable that is turnover intention in PT. ISJ. This research was conducted at PT. ISJ, with 119 respondents from the total population of 169 employees. In determining the sample of this study, the authors use the formula slovin and data collection is done through interviews and questionnaires. Then in the data analysis, the authors used multiple linear regression analysis techniques that were processed using SmartPLS software version 3.2.7, so the results obtained further show that the workload has a negative and insignificant effect on turnover intention, compensation has significant effect on turnover intention, and transformational leadership influence negative and insignificant to turnover intention. Keywords: turnover intention, workload, compensation, leadership transformational. Turnover merupakan masalah yang patut diperhatikan oleh perusahaan, karena dampaknya cukup besar bagi perusahaan. Dampak tersebut berupa meningkatnya biaya pengeluaran untuk penerimaan tenaga kerja baru, seleksi, dan pelatihan, serta terhambatnya target yang seharusnya dicapai oleh perusahaan. Hal serupa dirasakan di PT. ISJ, dimana turnover yang terjadi dalam kurun waktu 2013-2017 meningkat jumlahnya. Berkenaan dengan hal tersebut, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh langsung variabel independen yaitu beban kerja, kompensasi dan kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap variabel dependen yaitu turnover intention di PT. ISJ. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT. ISJ, dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 119 karyawan dari total populasi sebanyak 169 karyawan. Pada penentuan sampel penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan rumus slovin dan pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dan kuisioner. Kemudian pada analisis data, penulis menggunakan teknik analisis data regresi linier berganda yang diolah menggunakan software SmartPLS versi 3.2.7, sehingga hasil yang diperoleh selanjutnya menunjukan bahwa beban kerja berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap turnover intention, kompensasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap turnover intention, dan kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap turnover intention. Kata kunci: turnover intention, beban kerja, kompensasi, kepemimpinan transformasional.
