Abstract
Public relations is one of the management functions between the Institution that he represents with the public as a target audience, especially in an effort to achieve a positive image for pt company. Mitra Adi Perkasa (MAP). Lotus Department Store is one of the companies under the auspices of MAP that closed its Department Store. Therefore, this research aims to find out how public relations activities pt. Mitra Adi Perkasa in the closing period of Lotus Department Store. The theory or concept used is the concept of public relations activity to know the success of Public Relations in the closing period of Lotus Department Store. This research uses a type of qualitative descriptive research with case study methods with data collection techniques through two kinds of methods, namely primary data collection through indept interview and secondary data collection through the results of documentation of various public relations activities to communicate the closure of Lotus Department Store providing a positive image to the public. The results of this study have yielded results and shown that PT MAP has carried out public relations activities such as holding press conferences, monitoring internal and external activities. Keywords : Activities, Public Relations, Message Audience Humas merupakan salah satu fungsi manajemen antara Lembaga yang diwakilinya dengan publik sebagai khalayak sasaran, khususnya dalam usaha mencapai citra positif bagi perusahaan PT. Mitra Adi Perkasa (MAP). Lotus Departemen Store adalah salah satu perusahaan yang dibawah naungan MAP yang menutup Departemen Storenya. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Aktivitas Humas PT.Mitra Adi Perkasa dalam masa penutupan Lotus Departemen Store. Teori atau konsep yang digunakan adalah konsep aktivitas public relations untuk mengetahui keberhasilan Public Relations di masa penutupan Lotus Departemen Store. Penelitian ini menggunakan tipe penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui dua macam cara, yakni pengumpulan data primer melalui wawancara mendalam (indept interview) dan pengumpulan data sekunder melalui hasil – hasil dokumentasi berbagai aktivitas public relations untuk mengkomunikasikan penutupan Lotus Departemen Store memberikan citra positif kepada publik. Hasil penelitian ini telah memberikan hasil dan menunjukan bahwa PT MAP telah menjalankan aktivitas public relations seperti mengadakan jumpa pers, memonitoring kegiatan internal maupun eksternal. Kata Kunci : Aktivitas, Public Relations, Khalayak Pesan.
