Abstract

This research is based to determine whether there is an effect of personality type on self disclosure among tiktok users. The number of subjects in this research was 409 people and the questionnaire data collection can be obtained online (Google Form). This research used a simple linear regression research design where the design is used based on the objectives and hypotheses of a study to be conducted, using the Accidential sampling technique. The second direction of the relationship variable between personality types and self disclosure is positive. In terms of extrovert personality, it was found that there was an influence of extrovert personality on selfdisclosure with a significant value of 0.00. Meanwhile, from introvert personality, it was found that there was no influence of introvert personality on self-disclosure with a significant value of 0.96. This means that individuals who have extroverted personalities will have greater self disclosure than individuals with introverted personalities. The results of this research indicates that there is an influence between personality types on self disclosure, but personality type has measly contribution, which is 2.2% of the self-disclosure among TikTok users. Key word : Personality, Self Disclosure Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh tipe kepribadian terhadap pengungkapan diri pengguna tiktok. Jumlah subjek pada penelitian ini sebanyak 409 orang dan pengambilan data kuesioner di dapat secara online (Google Form). Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian regresi linier sederhana yang mana desain digunakan berdasarkan tujuan dan hipotesis dari sebuah penelitian yang akan dilakukan, dengan menggunakan teknik sampling Accidential. Arah kedua variabel hubungan antara tipe kepribadian dengan pengungkapan diri bersifat positif. Ditinjau dari tipe kepribadian ekstrovert ditemukan bahwa adanya pengaruh tipe kepribadian ekstrovert terhadap pengungkapan diri dengan nilai signifikan 0,00. Sedangkan dari tipe kepribadian introvert ditemukan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh tipe kepribadian introvert terhadap pengungkapan diri dengan nilai signifikansi 0,96. Hal ini dapat diartikan bahwa individu yang memiliki kepribadian ekstrovert akan memiliki pengungkapan diri yang lebih besar daripada individu yang berkepribadian introvert. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukan adanya pengaruh antara tipe kepribadian terhadap pengungkapan diri, tetapi tipe kepribadian ini sangat sedikit kontribusinya yaitu sebesar 2,2% terhadap pengungkapan diri pengguna TikTok.
