Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Return On Asset (ROA), Debt To Equity Ratio (DER) and Agency Cost (STA) on firm value (PBV). The population in this study amounted to 65 trading companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2016-2018 period. Data obtained by accessing the Indonesia Stock Exchange page. By using purposive sampling method to obtain a sample of 44 companies that fit the criteria of a total of 65 trading companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) for the period of 2016-2018, and the number of observational data was 132 data. Hypothesis testing in this study uses multiple regression analysis. Based on the results of data analysis shows that Return On Asset (ROA) has not a significant effect on firm value, Debt To Equity Ratio (DER) has a positive and significant effect on firm value. And Agency Cost (STA) has a significant negative effect on firm value. Suggestions in this study are for companies to be expected to be able to provide information regarding the use of their debt appropriately and transparently and also to reduce the level of costs incurred by the company for increase the value of the compan. Keywords: Return On Asset (ROA), Debt To Equity Ratio (DER), Agency Cost (STA), and Firm Value (PBV). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Return On Asset (ROA), Debt To Equity Ratio (DER), dan Agency Cost (STA) terhadap nilai perusahaan (PBV). Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 65 perusahaan perdagangan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2016-2018. Data diperoleh dengan cara mengakses halaman Bursa Efek Indonesia. Dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling sehingga didapat jumlah sampel sebanyak 44 perusahaan yang sesuai kriteria dari total 65 perusahaan perdagangan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2016-2018, dan jumlah data pengamatan (observasi) sebanyak 132 data. Pengujian hipotesis dipenelitiian ini menggunakan analisis regresi berganda. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa Return On Asset (ROA) berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan, Debt To Equity Ratio (DER) memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan . Dan Agency Cost (STA) memiliki pengaruh yang negatif signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Saran dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk perusahaan diharapkan untuk dapat memberikan informasi mengenai penggunaan hutangnya secara tepat dan transparan dan juga dapat menekan tingkat biaya yang dikeluarkan oleh perusahaan untuk meningkatkan nilai perusahaan. Kata kunci : Return On Asset (ROA), Debt To Equity Ratio (DER), Agency Cost (STA), dan Nilai Perusahaan (PBV).
