Abstract

Kaliurang is on of travel destination located in Yogyakarta Region. Yogyakarta is on of the most popular travel destination in Indonesia after Bali. It has a lot of travel attraction on of the most popular is Candi Borobudur which is one of seven wonder of the the world. Those factors made tourism became the main source of income for local residents that also couse service sector became dominant lead sector in Yogyakarta on of them was Villa & Hotel. Existing Issues becoming the background of planning and designing Villa & Hotel in Kaliurang with Neo Vernacular Architecture in order to get exiting desain and also keep the culture in Yogyakarta. Energy Saving Architecture approach also becoming the background as for instances use local material to keep local culture in Yogyakarta. Keywords: Villas, Hotels, Architecture Neo Vernacular, Energy Saving Kaliurang merupakan salah satu tempat wisata yang berada di daerah Yogyakarta. Yogyakarta yang merupakan destinasi wisata paling populer di Indonesia setelah Bali, memiliki daya tarik wisata baik itu alam, budaya maupun minat khusus . Salah satu yang tempat wisata popular yaitu Candi Borobudur yang merupakan salah satu dari keajaiban dunia. Hal ini mengakibatkan pariwisata menjadi sumber kehidupan utama bagi masyarakat di daerah Yogyakarta, sehingga sector jasa menjadi leading sector yang dominan salah satunya yaitu kebutuhan tempat peristirahatan seperti Villa & Hotel. Dari beberapa daya tarik tersebut maka diperlukan desain Villa & Hotel dibuat menggunakan tema Arsitektur Neo Vernakular yang diaplikasikan agar mendapatkan desain yang menarik tanpa mengurangi sisi budaya yang kental di daerah Yogyakarta. Selain itu tema Hemat energi diterapkan dalam penggunaan material yang ada disekitar lokasi untuk melestarikan kearifan local di daerah Yogyakarta.
