Abstract
PT. Intan Elastic Ball Engaged in the field of textiles at this time the company is experiencing quality improvement problems in the production of elastic band strap on corrugated defects which are products with a percentage of defects 51.8% greater than other defects in the August-November 2019 period. Therefore Six Sigma method is used with the DMAIC stage (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) with the aim of determining the type of defect that has the largest percentage, determining the cause of the largest defect type and determining alternative proposals based on the DMAIC method approach. After calculating and analyzing data using the DMAIC method, it is known that the largest type of defect is Corrugated which has a percentage of 51.8% based on the calculation of the Pareto diagram and then used Fish Bone Diagrams so it is known that the cause of the corrected defect is Human Factor (not deft, fatigue, not discipline, not paying attention to the display temperature, rush), Method factors (Lack of work instructions, Lack of supervision), Machine Factors (Machine settings have problems, maintenance schedule not implemented, broken machine needles), Material Factors (Yarn is broken, rubber is unstable , lots of fiber in the yarn). In the Improve phase, the proposed alternative is to provide routine training to the operator, make clean scheduling on the machine, make a control schedule on the machine settings. At the control stage it is recommended to make SOPs for work instructions, Making Checksheets for knitting process pickets, making SOPs for knitting machine maintenance, and making Checkshet machine controlsettings. Keyword : DMAIC (Define,Measure,Analyze,Improve,Control) PT. Bola Intan Elastic Bergerak pada bidang Tekstil pada saat ini perusahaan mengalami permasalahan perbaikan kualitas pada bagian produksi tali elastis band pada defect bergelombang yang merupakan produk dengan persentase cacat 51,5% lebih besar dibandingkan dengan defect lainnya pada periode Agustus 2019-November 2019. Oleh karena itu digunakan metode Six Sigma dengan tahap DMAIC (Define, Measure,Analyze,Improve,Control) dengan tujuan menentukan jenis defect terbanyak yang memiliki persentase terbesar, menentukan penyebab jenis defect terbesar serta mementukan alternatif usulan berdasarkan pendekatan metode DMAIC. Setelah dilakukan perhitungan serta analisis data menggunakan metode DMAIC, diketahui bahwa jenis defect terbesar adalah Bergelombang yang memiliki persentase sebesar 51,5% berdasarkan perhitungan diagram pareto selanjutnya digunakan Diagram Tulang Ikan sehingga diketahui penyebab terjadinya defect bergelombang adalah Faktor Manusia (tidak cekatan, kelelahan,tidak disiplin, tidak memperhatikan temperatur display, terburu-buru), faktor Metode (Tidak adanya instruksi kerja, Kurang pengawasan), Faktor Mesin (Mesin setting bermasalah, jadwal maintenance tidak terlaksana, jarum mesin patah), Faktor Material (Benang putus, karet tidak stabil, banyak serat pada benang). Pada tahap Improve ditentukan alternatif usulan berupa memberikan pelatihan rutin kepada operator, membuat penjadwalan bersih berish pada mesin, membuat jadwal pengontrolan pada mesin Setting. Pada tahap control disarankan agar membuat SOP instruksi kerja, Pembuatan Checksheet jadwal piket proses knitting, membuat SOP pemeliharaan mesin knitting, dan membuat Checkshet kontrol mesin setting.
