Abstract

In this global era, the business hotel is developing along with the progress of the tourism and business sectors. This condition is inseparable from the mobilization carried out by humans throughout the world from time to time. Hotels in the city of Bukittinggi become the right choice for local and foreign tourists to support their activities such as a place to rest or just hold a meeting. Therefore, this accommodation business becomes a tight business in its competition and each hotel strives to bring out its own characteristics. The purpose of this design is to create a comfortable, functional and aesthetic business hotel in an increasingly developed era. The selection of local content as the theme of the interior design of the hotel also aims to introduce and give a new nuance to tourists by applying the characteristics of West Sumatra. The method used in this design is to use a qualitative descriptive method that begins with data searching, analyzing, processing existing data so that it becomes a final design draft. The expected results of the interior design of the hotel is able to make visitors feel a different experience with the ultimate goal of being able to increase the interest of visitors to stay. It is hoped that this thesis writing can also be published in interior design student’s journals Keyword: Hotel, Interior, Local Content Pada era global ini bisnis perhotelan berkembang seiring dengan kemajuan sektor pariwisata dan bisnis. Kondisi ini tidak lepas dari mobilisasi yang dilakukan oleh manusia di seluruh dunia dari waktu ke waktu. Hotel di kota Bukittinggi menjadi pilihan yang tepat bagi para wisatawan lokal maupun wisatawan asing untuk menunjang setiap kegiatan mereka seperti tempat beristirahat ataupun sekedar mengadakan pertemuan. Oleh karena itu bisnis akomodasi ini menjadi bisnis yang ketat dalam persainganya dan setiap hotel berusaha untuk memunculkan ciri khasnya masing-masing. Tujuan dari perancangan ini yaitu menciptakan hotel bisnis yang nyaman, fungsional dan estetik di jaman yang semakin berkembang. Pemilihan local content sebagai tema perancangan interior hotel ini juga memiliki tujuan untuk memperkenalkan serta memberikan nuansa baru kepada wisatawan dengan menerapkan ciri khas dari Sumatera Barat. Metode yang digunakan pada perancangan ini yaitu menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yang diawali dengan pencarian data, menganalisis, mengolah data yang ada sehingga menjadi satu rancangan desain akhir. Hasil yang diharapkan dari perancangan interior hotel ini mampu membuat pengunjung merasakan pengalaman yang berbeda dengan tujuan akhirnya mampu meningkatkan minat pengunjung untuk menginap. Penulisan skripsi ini diharapkan juga dapat terpublikasi pada jurnal mahasiswa desain interior. Kata kunci: Hotel, Interior, Local Content
