Abstract

This study aims to see the Perception of Law Enforcement in case of MCA and SARACEN hoax. The respondents used were Law Enforcers (Police) who had handled MCA and SARACEN hoax cases. The type of research used in this study is a qualitative approach, with a sample size of two people. The method used in this research is non-participatory observation method and open interview method with interview guidance. The intended perception is the process of understanding to the stimulus, the effort to understand others and ourselves. Perception is determined by two components that is personal factor and stimulation. Both components are categorized into twelve types of patterns such as motives, attitudes, capacities, usability, communication style, experience, physical, organizing, novelty, model and the origin of information. The results of this study show that the two subjects in this study had differences in perception especially in handling the MCA and SARACEN hoax case. Keywords : Perception, Law enforcers, Hoax MCA and SARACEN. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat gambaran persepsi pada Penegak hukum pada kasus hoax MCA dan SARACEN. Penegak hukum dalam hal ini adalah subyek polisi yang menangani kriminal khususnya dalam bidang cyber. Responden yang digunakan adalah Penegak hukum (polisi) yang pernah menangani kasus hoax MCA dan SARACEN. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif, dengan jumlah sampel dua (2) orang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi nonpartisipatif dan metode wawancara terbuka dengan pedoman wawancara. Persepsi yang dimaksudkan adalah proses pemahaman terhadap stimulus dan usaha untuk memahami orang lain dan diri kita sendiri. Persepsi ditentukan oleh dua (2) komponen yakni aspek personal dan stimuli. Kedua komponen ini dikategorikan menjadi duabelas (12) jenis pola diantaranya motif, sikap, tujuan, kapasitas, kegunaan, gaya komunikasi, pengalaman, fisik, pengorganisasian, novelty, model dan asal mula informasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dua (2) subjek dalam penelitian ini mempunyai perbedaan dalam berpersepsi khususnya dalam menangani kasus Hoax MCA dan SARACEN. Kata kunci : Persepsi, Penegak hukum, Hoax MCA Dan SARACEN.
