Abstract
PT. SINAR METRINDO PERKASA is engaged in the production of Distribution Panels and Electric Control Panels, at present the company is experiencing problems of quality improvement in the production section of the Free Standing panel which is a product with a defect percentage 23% greater than the Wallmounting Panel which is 12% in the August 2017 data period - July 2018. Therefore, the Six Sigma method is used with DMAIC stages (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) with the aim of determining the type of defect that has the largest percentage of defects, determine the causes of the largest types of defects and determine alternative proposals based on the Six method approach Sigma (DMAIC). After calculating and analyzing the data using the Six Sigma (DMAIC) method, it is known that the largest type of defect is Wiring which has a percentage of 36% based on Pareto Diagram calculations, then used Fish Bone Diagram so that the cause of the Wiring defect is known to be Human Factors (not careful, lack of understanding of images, confusion, Method Factors (random installation and arbitrary cable assembly), Material Factors (damaged components, poor backup quality and run out of code stock) and Environmental Factors (heat and lighting that are lacking). In the improve phase, the proposed alternative is in the form of adding the number of Printer Code machines, ordering directly to two suppliers, namely PT. Fortindo and PT. Pandawa, controlling orders at the Logistics Division, and providing routine training to operators. At the control stage, it is recommended that the Wiring Operator should not keep the rest of the Tubing Code and the Division of Jobdesk QC Personnel as a whole. SINAR METRINDO PERKASA bergerak pada bidang produksi Panel Distribusi dan Panel Kontrol listrik, pada saat ini perusahaan mengalami permasalahan perbaikan kualitas pada bagian produksi panel Free Standing yang merupakan produk dengan persentase cacat 23% lebih besar dibandingkan dengan Panel Wallmounting yaitu 12% pada periode data Agustus 2017 – Juli 2018. Oleh karena itu digunakan metode Six Sigma dengan tahapan DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) dengan tujuan menentukan jenis defect terbanyak yang memiliki persentase cacat terbesar, menentukan penyebab jenis defect terbesar serta menentukan alternatif usulan berdasarkan pendekatan metode Six Sigma (DMAIC). Setelah dilakukan perhitungan serta analisis data menggunakan metode Six Sigma (DMAIC), diketahui bahwa jenis defect terbesar adalah Wiring yang memiliki persentase sebesar 36% berdasarkan perhitungan Diagram Pareto, selanjutnya digunakan Diagram Tulang Ikan sehingga diketahui penyebab terjadinya defect Wiring adalah Faktor Manusia (tidak teliti, kurang memahami gambar, kebingungan), Faktor Metode (pemasangan yang acak dan perakitan kabel yang sembarangan), Faktor Material (komponen rusak, kualitas cadangan jelek dan kehabisan stok kode) serta Faktor Lingkungan (panas dan pencahayaan yang kurang). Pada tahap improve ditentukan alternatif usulan berupa penambahan jumlah mesin Printer Code, melakukan pemesanan langsung ke dua supplier yaitu PT. Fortindo serta PT. Pandawa, melakukan controling pemesanan pada Divisi Logistik, serta memberikan pelatihan rutin kepada operator. Pada tahap control disarankan agar Operator Wiring tidak boleh menyimpan sisa Tubing Code serta Pembagian Jobdesk Personel QC secara menyeluruh.
