Abstract

ABSTRACT This study is to acknowledge the relation between Father Involvement and the Social Anxiety Adolescent ( Study on several Senior High School at Jakarta ). The samples taken from the 550 respondent , across Jakarta. The measurement tools of the study is the Father Involvement Scale those made base on the Father Involvement Dimension that adopted from Goncy ( 2010 ) and the Social Anxiety Disorder Scale using La Greca ( 1998 ). Each scale has reliability 0.943 for the Father Involvement Scale and 0.868 for the Social Anxiety Scale. The result of the study, found the r = -0.186 that shows that there is negative correlation between Father involvement and the Social Anxiety Adolescent at Jakarta. The relation shows negative direction ( the opposite relationship ) that explain the higher Father Involvment , the lower Social Anxiety, and the opposite. Key words : Father involvement, Social Anxiety Disorder Adolescent ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah hubungan antara Father Involvement dengan Kecemasan Sosial Remaja di Jakarta ( Studi Pada Beberapa Sekolah Di Jakarta) Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan tehnik Cluster Random Sampling dengan jumlah subjek sebanyak 550 orang. Alat ukur pada penelitian ini adalah skala father involvement yang disusun berdasarkan dimensi dari father involvement yang diadaptasi dari Goncy (2010), dan skala kecemasan social yaitu SAS-A dari La Greca ( 1998). Masing-masing memiliki reliabilitas sebesar 0,947 untuk skala father involvement dan 0,868 untuk skala kecemasan sosial. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukan nilai r = - 0,186,< p < 0,05 yang artinya ada hubungan antara father involvement dengan kecemasan sosial remaja, hubungan tersebut menunjukan hubungan negative yang berkebalikan berarti semakin tinggi father involvement semakin rendah kecemasan sosial remaja dan juga sebaliknya semakin tinggi kecemasan sosial maka semakin rendah father involvement.
