Abstract
Indonesian exchange students have experienced intercultural adaptation when they were living abroad for certain period of time. They have gained a lot of unique experience that apart students from family and friends in home country. When the students are returning to Indonesia, they felt their home and theirselves has changed because of the students had adapted to another culture and they have to re-adapt in their own country. The W- curve theory will show us the phase of Re-adaptation process of study abroad students. In the phase of re-entry (honeymoon, crisis, recovery, and adjustment) lead us to understand the personal experience in the re-adaptation process. This research is using interview with some of the Indonesian students, to collect information about the personal experience during their study abroad at Sungkyunkwan university and Beijing Institute of Technology which become the students obstacles in re-adaptation process. From The result of this research indicate that the Indonesian students need to Re-adapt after study abroad because of intercultural experience. and found some obstacles to re-adapt are (Interaction gap, Difficult and Easy to Re-adapt). In the proses of re-adapt Every students have their own way to solve the readaptation problem.
