Abstract
The documentary film "Nilai Palsu" (False Grades) addresses the issue of the academic integrity crisis, particularly the growing phenomenon of academic assignment brokers (joki tugas) among university students. This work aims to reveal the reality behind these practices and communicate their impact on the educational environment through a well-structured audiovisual sequence. In this creative project report, the author serves as the Editor, responsible for organizing the visual and audio elements into a coherent, informative, and emotionally engaging narrative that supports the documentary's objectives. During the editing process, the author applied the Non-Linear Editing (NLE) method by selecting and organizing footage, constructing the narrative flow, synchronizing audio, and enhancing visual quality through color correction and color grading. To strengthen the rhythm and continuity of the story, several editing techniques were employed, including straight cut, cut to the beat, cross dissolve, fade in–fade out, and color desaturation in selected scenes to create a reflective atmosphere and reinforce the message about the importance of academic honesty. The editing process was further supported by the integration of B-roll footage, graphic elements, and audio enhancement to ensure that the information was delivered effectively. Through a well-structured editing process, this documentary successfully establishes narrative continuity, enhances the audience's emotional engagement, and clearly communicates the negative impacts of assignment broker practices on academic integrity. This documentary is expected to serve as an educational medium that raises public awareness, particularly among university students, about the importance of honesty and responsibility within the academic environment. Film dokumenter "Nilai Palsu" mengangkat isu krisis integritas akademik, khususnya fenomena praktik joki tugas yang semakin marak di kalangan mahasiswa. Pembuatan karya ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap realitas di balik praktik tersebut serta menyampaikan dampaknya terhadap dunia pendidikan melalui penyusunan rangkaian gambar audio visual yang komunikatif. Dalam laporan penciptaan karya ini, penulis berperan sebagai Editor yang bertanggung jawab menyusun struktur visual dan audio sehingga mampu membangun narasi yang utuh, informatif, dan emosional sesuai dengan tujuan film dokumenter. Dalam proses penyuntingan, penulis menerapkan metode Non-Linear Editing (NLE) dengan melakukan seleksi footage, penyusunan alur cerita, sinkronisasi audio, serta penyempurnaan visual melalui color correction dan color grading. Untuk memperkuat ritme dan kesinambungan cerita, penulis menggunakan teknik straight cut, cut to the beat, cross dissolve, fade in–fade out, serta desaturasi warna pada bagian-bagian tertentu guna membangun suasana reflektif dan mempertegas pesan mengenai pentingnya kejujuran akademik. Penyuntingan juga didukung dengan penambahan B-roll, grafis, dan pengolahan audio agar informasi tersampaikan secara lebih efektif. Melalui proses editing yang terstruktur, film dokumenter ini berhasil membangun kesinambungan narasi, meningkatkan keterlibatan emosional penonton, serta memperjelas penyampaian pesan mengenai dampak negatif praktik joki tugas terhadap integritas akademik. Film dokumenter ini diharapkan dapat menjadi media edukasi yang mampu meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat, khususnya mahasiswa, untuk menjunjung tinggi nilai kejujuran dan tanggung jawab dalam lingkungan pendidikan.
