Abstract
Pangandaran Regency possesses significant natural and cultural tourism potential; however, effectively delivering information and promoting these attractions remains a challenge. To support tourism promotion, the feature program Jajak Nusantara: Exploring the Beauty of Pangandaran was produced, showcasing the region's natural beauty, cultural heritage, and local community through a communicative visual approach. In this applied final project, the author served as the Camera Operator, responsible for designing and implementing the program's visual concept. The purpose of this project is to apply camera shooting techniques that effectively support the narrative while producing an informative and visually appealing feature program. The planning and production processes were based on the Five C's of Cinematography theory, which includes camera angles, continuity, cutting, close-up, and composition. These principles were implemented throughout the pre-production, production, and post-production stages through shot list planning, camera angle selection, composition, and camera movement. The production results demonstrate that the implementation of wellplanned camera shooting techniques successfully produced visuals that supported the storyline, strengthened the delivery of information, and enhanced the program's aesthetic quality. The use of varied shot sizes, camera angles, composition, and camera movements effectively highlighted Pangandaran's tourism potential while fostering greater emotional engagement with the audience. Therefore, the role of the Camera Operator extends beyond operating the camera to serving as a visual communicator who contributes to delivering the program's message effectively. Kabupaten Pangandaran memiliki potensi wisata alam dan budaya yang besar, namun penyampaian informasi dan promosi yang menarik masih menjadi tantangan. Untuk mendukung promosi tersebut, dibuat Program Feature Jajak Nusantara: Jelajah Keindahan Pangandaran yang mengangkat keindahan alam, budaya, dan kehidupan masyarakat melalui pendekatan visual yang komunikatif. Dalam karya tugas akhir aplikatif ini, penulis berperan sebagai Juru Kamera yang bertanggung jawab merancang dan merealisasikan konsep visual program. Tujuan karya ini adalah menerapkan teknik pengambilan gambar yang mampu mendukung penyampaian narasi serta menghasilkan tayangan feature yang informatif dan estetis. Proses perancangan dan produksi mengacu pada teori Five C's of Cinematography yang meliputi camera angles, continuity, cutting, close-up, dan composition. Penerapan teori tersebut dilakukan pada tahap pra-produksi, produksi, hingga pasca-produksi melalui perencanaan shot list, pemilihan sudut pengambilan gambar, komposisi, dan pergerakan kamera. Hasil produksi menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknik pengambilan gambar yang terencana mampu menghasilkan visual yang mendukung alur cerita, memperkuat penyampaian informasi, serta meningkatkan kualitas estetika program. Variasi ukuran gambar, sudut pengambilan gambar, komposisi, dan pergerakan kamera mampu menampilkan potensi wisata Pangandaran secara lebih menarik dan membangun keterlibatan emosional penonton. Dengan demikian, peran Juru Kamera tidak hanya sebagai operator kamera, tetapi juga sebagai komunikator visual yang berkontribusi dalam menyampaikan pesan program secara efektif.
