Abstract
Peristiwa banjir yang melanda Kota Bekasi pada Maret 2025 mendapatkan perhatian luas media daring, termasuk Detik.com. Fenomena ini menunjukkan bagaimana media massa berperan dalam membentuk konstruksi realitas melalui proses framing, khususnya pada situasi bencana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana Detik.com membingkai pemberitaan banjir Bekasi berdasarkan model analisis framing Robert N. Entman serta meninjau implikasinya dalam perspektif Public Relations dan komunikasi bencana. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivis yang memandang realitas sosial sebagai hasil konstruksi makna yang dibentuk melalui interaksi, simbol dan Bahasa. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian analisis isi untuk mengkaji bagaimana portal berita Detik.com membingkai tema utama dalam sebuah pesan. Dari total 207 berita yang dipublikasikan, dipilih 10 artikel secara purposif sebagai sampel penelitian berdasarkan relevansi dan keterwakilan fase krisis. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan empat elemen framing Entman, yaitu define problems, diagnose causes, make moral judgments, dan suggest remedies. Keabsahan data diuji melalui triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Detik.com membingkai banjir Bekasi sebagai bencana alam berskala regional yang berdampak luas terhadap kehidupan sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat. Penyebab banjir dikaitkan dengan faktor alam dan struktural tanpa atribusi kesalahan secara eksplisit kepada aktor tertentu. Pemberitaan cenderung bersifat netral dan informatif, dengan penekanan pada langkah tanggap darurat dibandingkan solusi kebijakan jangka panjang. Dalam perspektif komunikasi bencana, framing didominasi oleh fase saat krisis berlangsung, sementara aspek mitigasi dan evaluasi pasca bencana belum menjadi fokus utama. Kesimpulan penelitian ini, Detik.com berperan signifikan dalam membentuk konstruksi realitas publik mengenai banjir Bekasi sebagai bencana situasional yang sedang ditangani secara administratif dan teknis. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar media daring, termasuk Detik.com, dapat menyeimbangkan pemberitaan antara respons darurat dan analisis kebijakan mitigasi jangka panjang guna mendorong literasi kebencanaan serta narasi publik yang lebih konstruktif. The flood that struck Bekasi City in March 2025 attracted extensive attention from online media, including Detik.com. This phenomenon illustrates how mass media play a significant role in constructing social reality through the process of framing, particularly in disaster situations. This study aims to analyze how Detik.com framed the news coverage of the Bekasi flood based on Robert N. Entman’s framing analysis model and to examine its implications from the perspectives of Public Relations and disaster communication. This research adopts a constructivist paradigm, which views social reality as a product of meaning construction formed through interaction, symbols, and language. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using content analysis to examine how the news portal Detik.com framed the main themes within its coverage. Out of a total of 207 published articles, 10 were purposively selected as research samples based on their relevance and representation of the crisis phases. The analysis was conducted using Entman’s four framing elements: define problems, diagnose causes, make moral judgments, and suggest remedies. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that Detik.com framed the Bekasi flood as a regionalscale natural disaster with significant social and economic impacts. The causes of the flood were associated with both natural and structural factors without explicitly attributing blame to specific actors. The coverage tended to be neutral and informative, emphasizing emergency response measures rather than long-term policy solutions. From a disaster communication perspective, the framing was dominated by the crisis phase, while mitigation efforts and post-disaster evaluation received limited attention. In conclusion, Detik.com played a significant role in shaping public reality by portraying the Bekasi flood as a situational disaster managed through administrative and technical measures. This study suggests that online media, including Detik.com, should balance emergency response coverage with in-depth analysis of long-term mitigation policies in order to enhance disaster literacy and foster more constructive public narratives.
