Abstract

Low work engagement remains a serious challenge for many companies in Jakarta, as it directly affects employee productivity. This study aims to examine the role of career competencies in enhancing work engagement among employees. The research employed a quantitative approach with a convenience sampling technique involving 518 respondents. Data were collected through a questionnaire using a Likert scale, and the analysis was conducted using simple linear regression with SPSS. The findings indicate that career competencies have a positive and significant effect on work engagement. This means that the higher the career competencies possessed by employees, the higher their level of work engagement. These results emphasize that the development of career competencies should be a primary concern for companies in order to improve employee engagement and ensure the sustainability of organizational productivity.
