Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Generative leadership, Green Passion and Green work behavior on Sustainable Performance, with Green Passion and Green work behavior as mediating variables in the relationship between Generative leadership and Sustainable Performance. This study uses a quantitative method with a Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) approach to analyze data from 279 respondents who are owners, managers or key decision makers in these food UMKM located in the Jabodetabek area. The results showed that Generative Leadership has a positive and significant effect on Sustainable Performance both directly and through the mediation of Green Passion and Green Work Behavior. These two mediating variables proved to play an important role in bridging the influence of leadership on business sustainability. The findings indicate that leadership development that encourages green values and environmentally friendly behaviors is key in improving the competitiveness and sustainable performance of food industry UMKM amid increasing market demands for sustainable business practices. This study provides insights for food industry MSME players to optimize the role of transformative leadership through the Generative Leadership approach, and build Green Passion and Green Work Behavior to improve Sustainable Performance and business competitiveness amid increasing market awareness of environmental issues. Keywords: Generative leadership, Sustainable Performance, Green Passion, Green Work Behavior Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Generative leadership, Green Passion dan Green work behavior terhadap Sustainable Performance, dengan Green Passion dan Green work behavior sebagai variabel mediasi pada hubungan antara Generative leadership dan Sustainable Performance. Studi ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) untuk menganalisis data dari 279 responden yang merupakan adalah pemilik, pengelola atau pengambil keputusan utama dalam UMKM makanan tersebut yang berada di areah Jabodetabek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Generative Leadership berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Sustainable Performance baik secara langsung maupun melalui mediasi Green Passion dan Green Work Behavior. Kedua variabel mediasi ini terbukti berperan penting dalam menjembatani pengaruh kepemimpinan terhadap keberlanjutan usaha. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pengembangan kepemimpinan yang mendorong nilai-nilai hijau serta perilaku ramah lingkungan menjadi kunci dalam meningkatkan daya saing dan kinerja berkelanjutan UMKM industri makanan di tengah meningkatnya tuntutan pasar terhadap praktik bisnis yang berkelanjutan. Studi ini memberikan wawasan bagi pelaku UMKM industri makanan untuk mengoptimalkan peran kepemimpinan yang transformatif melalui pendekatan Generative Leadership, serta membangun Green Passion dan Green Work Behavior guna meningkatkan kinerja berkelanjutan dan daya saing usaha di tengah meningkatnya kesadaran pasar terhadap isu lingkungan.
